This toolbox sits along the truck bed 2-13/16 inches above your bed rails, fitting snugly behind the cab. The insulated, beveled, single lid opens to a full 90 degrees with the help of two super-duty lift cylinders, which raise the lid and hold it open as you load and unload your gear. After having this toolbox for almost two years, I can say we have not had an issues with it. The lock and latches still work perfectly. We had a friend that saw it and he bought one the next day.
