Today we're going to review part number FT900Z0301. This is the Fulton single speed winch with a 900lb weight capacity. This single speed winch has a convenient two-way ratchet system. It is made of a carbon steel construction which offers superior strength and durability for better function and increased lifespan. It does have an oil impregnated shaft bushing and a full length drum bearing which makes for smooth and efficient operation. It does have a Z-Max 600 finish which will provide increased corrosion resistance.

It does have the comfort grip handle which makes cranking very easy. Now, this winch is designed to be used with either a rope or a strap. It is not designed to be used with any wire cable. Now, this part does include the strap. It's a 15 ft by 2 inch wide strap.

It does include the strap anchor and the bolt and nut to hold the strap to the drum. And basically the way I'll show you how that attaches is anytime if the winch does come with a strap anchor which is this large pin here then you do need to attach it this way as you would insert the anchor into the loop on the strap. Lay that onto the drum and then when you take your--let me just crank that up a little. You just insert your bolt through there and that would hold and you nut on the other side and that hold your strap to the drum. Now, if the winch does not come with the strap anchor then you could just run the bolt through the strap and attach it with the nut onto the drum.

But it is recommended if your winch comes with the strap anchor to attach it using that. Now, the handle length on this winch is 7 inches. The gear ratio on this winch would be 3.1:1 and basically that would mean to get this drum to rotate one revolution you would need to crank your handle 3.1 times around. Now, the drum storage on this winch for a rope would be 36 ft long by 1/4 inch diameter rope or it will use the strap which is 15 ft long by 2 inches wide; two inches on the strap and two inches wide on the drum. Again, this does have a capacity of 900 lbs.

And just to show you how this would crank is there's a ratchet lever right here with it in the up position you would crank it and it would go clockwise. It won't go the other way. If you reverse it down then it will go counter-clockwise and not the other way. And that should do it for a review on part number FT900Z0301. .
