Hi, everyone, Steve here with etrailer.com. Today, we're looking at our Conventional Ramp Door Spring for seven foot wide enclosed trailers. This is a dual-spring, as you can see, and it's got 160 pound capacity rating. Now, folks, if you're not sure, a ramp door spring like this lets you easily lift and lower the door on your enclosed trailer, helping you assist opening and closing to prevent risk of injury. It's gonna help take on the weight of that trailer door, so you don't have to. Now, the dual-spring system here is gonna eliminate the risk of that ramp door collapsing on you really fast, causing damage or injury.
So meaning, if one spring we inchesre to fail, the other spring could potentially hold that up and give you a nice safety net if you will, so it's gonna hold it up and keep the door from free falling. Spring does reduce wear and tear and damage to door hinges. Now, this system, as you can see, is long, it's 81 inches long overall. You can go down to 60 inches if you need to, so you could potentially cut the main bar shorter and slide everything together to give you some more space. Now, looking from the top down, you can see you get the included cables here, you get the safety caps, you get your hardware with brackets, and you get the two side brackets as well.
Now, you slide the bracket and the cable drum down, and you can cut the shaft to a shorter length like I mentioned if you need to. And the safety covers install on top of the bolt heads, preventing any unwanted adjustments. Now, there's a good shot of the ends here with the rollers, that's where the cable's gonna roll up onto. And again, folks, I recommend reading the instructions completely. If you've never done this before, I recommend a garage door professional.
If you can do it yourself, just be super, super careful and safe, these are very dangerous. Make sure you read the instructions at least once, if not twice before you start the installation, just to be sure you know what you're doing before you tackle it. And as always, if you have questions about this or any other ramp spring door or parts, you can reach out to us here at etrailer.com. That's gonna wrap it up. I'm Steven, thanks for watching.
