Question:

I have a 2018 Thor chateau 28z and I need to replace the red LED overhead clearance lights. Do you know which light bulbs these are and any instructions on how to change them?

Hey Ed,

Typically the light cover will have some small indentation for you to stick a pry tool in and pop off the cover. You can see if there's an actual bulb in there or more likely just led diodes. If it's a bulb you can look at the base for a bulb type and find a replacement. If it's just diodes then you'll be replacing the entire light.

If you are needing to replace the light then you should be able to see the two mounting screws holding the base of the light to RV and can remove them and measure for the correct replacement. The Optronics LED Clearance or Side Marker Trailer Light w/ Reflector # MCL0030RBB is a pretty standard size for clearance lights at 3-3/4" long x 1-13/16" tall x 3/8" deep. The wiring should be exactly the same, black for 12v power and white for ground. If you want to measure your current ones I can also check if there's an exact replacement size-wise.
