This shackle strap helps you to mount a leaf spring, bracket or accessory on your trailer. It is designed to accept a 9/16" diameter shackle bolt or U-bolt. Made of corrosion-resistant galvanized steel.

Specs:
- Length: 2-3/4" from center of 1 hole to center of the other hole
- Overall dimensions: 4-1/4" long x 1-1/4" wide x 1/4" tall
- Quantity: 1 shackle strap
- Diameter of bolt holes (each): 9/16"
- Spacing of mounting holes: 2-3/4" apart on center
Shackle links or straps are used to attach brackets and accessories, or to secure leaf springs to help make your trailer's suspension less rigid. On single-axle trailers, the rear of a double-eye spring is attached to the hanger via shackle links. On double-axle trailers, the rear of the first leaf spring and the front of the second leaf spring are attached via shackle links to the equalizer. The length of the shackle link will also affect how high the trailer will sit.
Galvanized Steel
Galvanized steel parts are hot-dipped in zinc after being stamped. This creates a coating that is typically 3 mil to 5 mil thick. This thick, all-around coating allows galvanized steel products to provide years of use without rusting or corroding.

As others have pointed out, the shackles will not fit 9/16" bolts out of the box. Had to drill out the holes on all (4) shackles purchased.

Bolts wouldn’t fit in holes of the shackles. I had to file them out to make them work

The holes were too small for the bolts, so I redrilled with a 9/16" bit and all was good.

Very disappointed. The holes were poorly drilled and not 9/16. Very poor workmanship. etrailer sent me 4 new ones non galvanized. I reviewed those. Those are another story.

It's a shackle strap, simple as that. One was a little sloppy on the galvanized coatings and I had to drill out the hole a little.
