Video Transcript for The Low-Down on the K-Source Custom Flip Out Towing Mirror

Today we're going to take a look at the K-Source, custom flip out, driver's side electric towing mirror with the heat turn signal and puddle lamp functions. This is a custom fit part, it is designed to fit the 2009 to 2012 Dodge Ram and Ram 1500 trucks, 2010 to 2012 Dodge Ram and Ram 2500 trucks, and the 2010 to 2011 Dodge Ram and Ram 3500 trucks.Now, this towing mirror will replace the factory side view mirror on your vehicle. Again, this has a nice flip out head, it will make it very easy to see around the side of your trailer so you can safely change lanes, pass and park. All you have to do is just rotate the mirror away from your vehicle to extend your line of sight, and then when you're done, you just push the mirror right back into place when you're not towing.It does offer the power mirror adjustment that will let you change the mirror face position with your factory control inside your vehicle. It does offer the heated mirror glass which will clear frost and ice and help reduce fogging. On the very corner, right here, has an amber light on the side here that will flash when your turn signal's activated.

On the very bottom, right over here, you'll have a puddle lamp, which will illuminate the area under the mirror, and if you notice right here it has this built in spotter mirror to help reduce blind spots.It is a hinge design so it will allow you to fold the mirror against the vehicle for parking or for fitting into tight spaces. If you notice, there's a nice, durable black plastic housing with a textured black finish, and a chrome finish cover, you can see, on the mirror itself. It is custom fit for your vehicle. It's a simple no-drill installation. It does have the same footprint and mounting points as your factory mirror, and the mirror does plug into your existing electrical wiring.This is for driver's side mirror only.

I want to give you a few specs on this: the mirror face height with the mirror rotated in like this is going to be right at 7 1/8ths inches. When we rotate it out, like that, the overall height you're going to be looking right at 7 11/16th inches. The spotter mirror height, when it's rotated out, is 3 inches. Overall length, when it's rotated out, from here to here, is 24 1/2 inches, and when you rotate it back in, it's going to be 20 3/4 inches.And a few notes on this mirror is the power remote capability, the heated glass, the turn signal and the puddle light of this mirror will work only if your vehicle already has those functions, and this mirror does not support the memory function.But that should do it for the review on the K-Source custom flip out, driver's side, electric towing mirror with the heat, turn signal and puddle lamp functions.
