Hello, neighbors. Steven here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look together at our Erickson Kinetic Recovery rope with an impressive one and a half inch thick by 30 foot length rated at 29,500 pounds. Now folks, this high strength nylon rope is gonna employ kinetic energy that's gonna get built up to recover the stuck vehicle. And it's gonna be great for one ton trucks, class four and five vehicles with a maxed gross vehicle weight of 29,500 pounds. Now to start off, you get this nice mesh bag here, so that's gonna make it breathable in case your rope gets wet, muddy, those kind of things.

I recommend you drying it out if at all possible before you put it back in this bag. But as we all know, if you're getting something unstuck or recovered, it's usually out in the muck and mud, more likely than not, and you need to get put back in real quick. So the mesh bag's a nice touch. So the bag does have two nice handles and the hook and loop strap here at the top to keep everything together. I'll put that over here on the side for now.

And we got the strap itself, so it is held together when it's wound up here with a nice hook and loop. You can hear that there and that's gonna let you undo it. I'm not gonna unravel it. And I'll be honest with you, if you've ever used one of these, getting it back in the mesh bag can be cumbersome. In this case, the bag seems to be about five or six inches longer than the recovery rope itself.

So I feel like that's gonna be a lot easier to get back in that bag whenever you're done. So starting off, you got these massive looped ends. There's my hand all the way through it spread out, and these guys, again, are one and a half inches thick round and they've been triple, triple wrapped many, many times here and they've got like a, some kind of hardening agent here to keep that nice and stiff and together. You've got the nylon wrapped ends here with this protective wrap. That's gonna help keep everything from cutting through the rope or you know, messing with it from from overtime and overuse.

Now that being said, you wanna hook these two D-rings on the vehicle shackles maybe, and then you wanna use bow shackles, which are sold separately on this end to give you a nice connection to recover. You never wanna use a hook, 'cause a hook, it could just slip out, you know, if you're using the hook, even the ones that have the little clip on 'em, I still recommend the bow shackles. They're just more heavy duty and I think they're a lot safer connection, in my opinion. That being said, again, the rope itself can go thick and thinner. I always tell people, think of it like a Chinese finger cuff, if you've ever used one of them before, play around with them as a kid. Basically that stuff goes in and out. But what it does is it builds up that kinetic energy and helps recover the vehicle with that built up kinetic energy. Now again, everything here is rated for 29,500 pounds and the stretch rate is 28%. Now the fact that this stretches again, is gonna just help keep those common shocks and jarring that you get when you use like a regular toe strap or a chain, like a log chain or something like that. So again, a lot safer, a lot better technology than what our grandfathers and grandmothers use, right So check 'em out if you've never used them, they do work really well.
