Note: The weight of the stuck vehicle must not exceed the maximum vehicle weight rating of the strap being used.
If your vehicle is stuck in off-road terrain and has lost the traction it needs to escape, this recovery strap will help pull it free. The strap is designed to stretch and recoil. This means that when it is put under tension, the strap stretches until snapping back to its resting length, "slingshotting" the vehicle out of its jam.
This recovery strap has a reinforced loop at either end for securing to the tow vehicle and the recovery vehicle. Once the strap is attached, slowly move the recovery vehicle away from the stuck vehicle. This will initiate the stretch and recoil action and pull the stuck vehicle free.

Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Erickson towing and recovery strap. This is a four inch wide strap. It measures 30 feet in length. It has a 35,000 pound break strength and a 17,500 pound maximum vehicle load limit. Part number on it is EM59801. As you can see, this is a looped end strap. It has a high tenacity, nylon reinforced area here in the pull zone.
That's going to give us increased durability and longer life. The heavy duty webbing also has really nice, heavy duty stitching here in the connection area where that loop is made. That's going to give us good, long lasting durability. The design of it will stretch up to 10% when pulled taught. It's going to give us that extra slingshot or that bounce back effect to really recover those stuck vehicles. The loop ends are designed to connect right on to your tow strap loop or shackle or they can be passed through one another to give us some maximum length and easy connection to our vehicles or our tow strap loops. As you can see, we've got our Jeep stuck so let's go ahead and get our recovery vehicle and get it out of here.
Here at our recovery vehicle, we're just going to take that reinforced end, it's nice and neat and tidy, it's easy to get it into our shackles. Just pull it in there where it gets a nice, firm hold and we'll be ready to get that little Jeep out of the mud. That will complete today's look at the Erickson recovery tow strap with the reinforced loop ends, part number EM59801. .

As always, etrailer came through. Just what I was looking for at a great price. I haven't needed it yet, but when I do, it will be in my tool box ready to go.
This is one substantial Tow Strap, I cant even believe how much it weighs. I plan to use it as a sling to jack up one end of a shed that sunk in the ground from being overweight and then I'll keep it in the back of my Duly in case any 18 wheelers need a tow. LOL
Erickson Recovery straps are among the best out there. That's why we chose them to send over to Haiti for use by our missionaries on the ground. etrailer.com did a great job of getting this order fulfilled and to our door quickly. THANKS!
Product description on website was accurate. I have not used it (and hope not so, like insurance), but nice to know I have it in case of an emergency.
Product is great, E-trailer is Excellent to work with.
