Today we're going to be taking a look at the Tow Ready Forged Receiver Hitch Towing Eyelet. The part number on it is TR63045. This eyelet is designed as a single piece construction, very heavy-duty forged alloy steel that they use. They're also going to coat this with a nice durable black powder coat finish. It's going to stand up to the test of time for us. As you can see it is a solid shank designed to fit the 2" x 2" receiver hitches. Let's get a couple of measurements on it for you. Our overall length is going to be about 11-1/4".
We'll measure now from the center of our hitch pin hole to the inside of our eyelet. It's going to be about 8-5/8". Then from the center of our hitch pin hole to the end of our eyelet, it's got about 9-3/4". This is designed to use a standard 5/8" pin. We can just slide that through and secure it on the other side with our clip.
The hitch pin and clip will be sold separately. You can pick that up on our website. The part number on it will be PC3. That will complete today's look at the Tow Ready Trailer Hitch Receiver Mounted Forged Tow Eyelet at 10,000 weight capacity, part number TR63045. .

works great
I don’t think you could ask for a heftier, stronger tow eye. This thing is a monster, weighing in at 9.25 pounds, forged from solid steel (NO hollow sections). Your hitch receiver will probably fail long before you break this slider. I have yet to see a better or stronger tow eye that will fit in a standard 2X2” receiver. You will not be disappointed! If you need a comparable tow hook, take a look at its brother, #TR63044.
Having a tow hook fail under load, usually a nylon strap or rope for recovery is a major concern for serious injury. If the hook fails then you essentially have a rubber band effect with a substantial piece of metal traveling at hundreds of miles per hour until it strikes something or someone. Several other units I ordered from another company, although rated at 10,000 pounds, seemed flimsy with it welded construction and light weight. These units, the forged tow eye and forged two hook, are solid with no welds or tubular construction. I was impressed, suspecting that the 10,000lb rating is probably a safe working load limit and not the ultimate load limit. Usually the safe working load limit is 10% of the ultimate load limit. These units should not fail and in a recovery or tow operation; you want the strap or rope to fail before the metal hook, tow eye or any metal part to fail. Highly recommended.
This is an awesome product!! For the price the quality was outstanding and felt better then some store ($60) models. Shipping was extremly fast (3days)
Got this for my trailer, and front hitch for off roading so I have something to run my recovery strap through cause its easier then to unwind my winch. Thanks again! Will use this website more coming summer.
This is an extremely solid tow eye. I'm much more confident with this in my hitch than with the screw-in eyes that are provided by the manufacturer.
A couple notes though - the ring is too large for a 3/4" D shackle to fit over it - it might go with some "assistance" (hammer) but I've already scratched my ring when trying to get it to fit.
Also, just an FYI, the weight of this tow eye is 10lbs.
Everything was great I received the product and happy with what I have purchased. Everything went smooth. Great service very happy with this transaction.
Great strong and reliable product. And did I mention the price? AMAZING!
Thanks E-trailer for yet another amazing product. And i also am giving E-trailer a 5 star rating. I trust them for my fleets needs. Great people, pricing, and shipping! HIGHLY recommended!!
Great product working as it should. Holds up with no issues, purchased this item last year hoping it lasts for more years to come.
I haven't had a chance to put this to work yet (hence, 4 stars instead of 5) but it arrived promptly, was reasonable priced and appears to be quite well made. Solid steel, this should last a lifetime. Thanks etrailer.
etrailer is the best. They have the best website I have ever used. Better than prime. Product I have order are great. Love this website.
Excellent service and whenever I need any thing for my trailers I will be going to etrailer!!!
Most excellent product great finish, quieter than my former lunette eye,
Great product! No need for additional tow hooks to snatch my Jeep out of the muck!
etrailer is a pleasure to do business with.
This is a solid product. It is heavy and well made. The eye may be too thick for most smaller hooks to go over, but most will pass through the eye if you are using a tow strap. I purchased this in case I need to pull someone out of a ditch or give a tow...or in case I end up in the ditch and I need to be pulled out.
I was pleased with the quick attention to my order. I had priced the "tow eye" with another company and was pleased to find that e-trailer had the same item at half the cost.
This looks like it'll do the job... purchase and shipping was easy, package arrived as scheduled, and I even get to fill out a product review! How sweet is that?!?
Thanks, eTrailer...

What kind of receiver is that on your Jeep? Ive been looking online to find something that will attach to a trailer with a tow eye, and all I can find is hooks. I want something that will keep it secure on the road.
