Question:
I am looking to temporarily convert a standard RV receiver tow bar like, as an example, Blue Ox Ascent into a pintle type tow connection, as opposed to purchasing a completely new pintle tow bar like, the Blue Ox Allure. I would like to use the HR26, to connect to the tow bar receiver shaft and then connect a TR63045 to the other side of the HR26 to use as a lunette ring on a pintle hitch. The overall weight of the towed vehicle is about 3400# and will be flat towed, so the tongue weightinch will just be the weight of the hitch connections and will be far less than the T.V. hitchs rating. Do you think this will work or better yet, is there anything else you can suggest that is less expensive?

I have a different option, but the Brophy Hitch Reducer and Extender # HR26 with the Trailer Hitch Receiver Mounted Forged Tow Eye # TR63045 is not designed to be used to adapt your Blue Ox Ascent tow bar to a pintle hook, and as such I do not recommend doing so as it will would void your tow bar warranty, and not be very stable.
The only option to use a tow bar with a pintle hook is using a dedicated tow bar designed that way like the Blue Ox Allure Tow Bar # BX7460P that you mentioned.
I included a video of the Blue Ox # BX7460P for you to take a look at.
