This kit keeps the front of your vehicle looking clean when you’re not towing. The hidden design sits tight to the chassis so nothing sticks out, and the removable arms come off with a simple twist. When the arms are off, receiver covers plug into place to keep dirt and debris out while giving a finished factory look.

Connecting your tow bar is an easy routine with the twist-lock arms. Slide each arm into the receiver, rotate it until it locks, and secure it with the pin. When it’s time to unhook, pull the pin, rotate again, and remove the arms. It’s a simple system that saves time and effort whether you’re setting up at camp or getting ready to head out.

The base plate bolts directly to the chassis with no welding required. Its sturdy steel build spreads towing forces evenly to help reduce stress on your vehicle’s suspension. The powder-coated finish resists rust and corrosion, making it ready for years of use over long hauls and tough weather.
The strong lugs pair directly with Blue Ox tow bars for a secure connection. It’s also adaptable for Roadmaster (RM-031 or RM-031-5) and Demco (DM9523041) tow bars when the proper adapters are used, sold separately. Integrated mounting points let you attach an electrical connector plug bracket (sold separately) so everything stays organized up front.
With 18" between brackets and a bracket height of 14", this kit gives you clear measurements to plan your full flat-tow setup. It includes all mounting hardware for a straightforward bolt-on install and carries a 3-year warranty for added peace of mind.

I am glad you were able to get it installed with no issues and a little help from our video! What kind of coach are you pulling the Kia Soul with?

Its been two years since installation of the Blue Ox Baseplate. Since then, Ive flat towed the CRV from NJ to FL and back three separate times with many other shorter trips in between. Paired with a Blue Ox Tow Bar, the system has worked flawlessly since installation.

Thanks for the detailed review Chris, and the pointers! This will be most helpful to others. What was your favorite stop in those 7,000 miles? Where did you go, what did you see?

Follow up. Ive put about 8000 miles on the setup and its been great. A 34 ton suburban pulls nicely behind my Dutch star, and they dont have a steering lock so its nice not to have to retrieve keys when stopping for the night. I have used the safety cable attachment a few times for straight line pulls with a small shackle when working as a rally racing volunteer, its been fine but I wouldnt side pull on it.

It has been a good system. I would still give it 4 stars a year later just because it was a difficult job to install. Not for the faint of heart. So far have about 6k miles of towing with it. Would I do it again….Yes as it was worth the effort.
