Using a Unijack

Begin using the Unijack by placing it on solid, level ground in a vertical position under the vehicle or object you wish to lift. Determine the best lifting point to support the bottle jack and line up the piston ram underneath it. Once everything is lined up correctly, turn the lever switch at the base of the piston clockwise to allow you to move the piston up and down. After you have the vehicle lifted to the desired height, the jack will automatically lock into place. The Unijack will then double as a jack stand to support the lift. To unlock the jack, simply turn the lever at the base of the piston counterclockwise and the hydraulics will slowly move in a downward motion.

Just what I needed.

We store these for emergency use in out trailer boxes. They add peace of mind for roadside tire changes. They do seem to be sensitive to rust and abuse and need to be stored in a relatively clean and dry environment such as a trailer box.

I am preemptively giving this jack five stars. I haven't had cause to use it yet but the peace of mind it gives knowing that I can jack up my single-axle trailer to change a flat on my own (if I ever get one) deserves the stars. Also, the customer service for the price match guarantee is the best!

We use them as jacks for our trailers and trucks. So much easier than carrying around floor jacks. They do need to be kept clean and dry or they will not be reliable.

Nice compact unit and solid!

Perfect for stashing in a trailer in case of a road emergency. The only downside is that they like to be kept clean and dry which is not an insurmountable task.

Review from a similar Unijack in Tools

I use two of these to help stabilize and level an enclosed car hauler that I use as a center of operations for weekend racing. This has been great for allowing me to disconnect the tow vehicle, keep the trailer level and still allow vehicles to drive in and out of the trailer as needed. I really appreciate the integrated jack stand and locking mechanism, as that provides the confidence that the hydraulic jack won't need to hold the dynamic weight.

Handy Jacks, I bought 4, 2- 4,000, & 2-6,000. Easier than moving floor jacks, & jack stands around. I'm old, & weak; need a cheater lever bar to get after the heaver lifts.

Review from a similar Unijack in Tools

I have been more and more business with etrailer the past few years. Their service, price, product knowledge is impeccable. I learned about the Powerbuilt Uni-Jack on the etrailer website. Watched the instructional videos posted there and read the reviews. It’s an excellent powerful jack and very safe. Surpasses all expectations. I highly recommend the jack and etrailer.

Review from a similar Unijack in Tools

This is a good product but a little flimsy. Deeper welds with thicker steel would be better. They were used on a 2017 CRV and with 4 wheels off the ground I could "wiggle" the car a little. The jacks were flexing. I don't think I will be going under the car for anything with these holding it up. The jacks are good for tire swaps/rotations and that's what they will be used for.

  • Can I Use the Powerbuilt Unijack as a Stabilizer
I have a solution for you, but the Powerbuilt Unijack Bottle Jack, part # ALL620471 is only designed to be used when you need to work on a trailer or change a tire, and is not designed to be used as a stabilizer. If you're looking for a better way to stabilize your 1993 Tioga Montara 29z, I recommend having a look at the ARK Drop Down Corner RV Stabilizer Jacks # AR34FR, which have drop legs that extend up to 24". These are part of a great new product line that we picked up from Australia...

  • Heavy Duty Jack for my Truck with an In Bed Truck Camper
Sorry you had that issue! I've got a couple of good solutions for you though. My favorite is the Powerbuilt Unijack Bottle Jack with Built-In Jack Stand part # ALL620471. It is a pretty compact with a base that is 9" by 9 1/8". It is a very safe alternative to the standard factory jack because it has the jack stand as part of the jack base itself.

  • Jack Recommendation for Travel Trailer for Changing Flats
Going with a bottle jack like the Powerbuilt Unijack Bottle Jack with Built-In Jack Stand # ALL620471 would be what I would recommend. Since it doubles as a jack stand it gives you the ability to jack up the trailer and safely hold it at the height you want when changing the tire.

  • How To Lift and Store a Travel Trailer with Torsion Axles
The only option I have for you to store a torsion axle trailer with the wheels off the ground is by using jack stands, the Powerbuilt Unijack Bottle Jack part # ALL620471 would be a good option as they have built-in bottle jacks and offer up to 21" of lift. For a jack to use in an emergency to change a flat tire I recommend using the Powerbuilt Bottle Jack # ALL620471. • Can Stabilizer Jacks be Used to Lift and Support Trailer?
Stabilizer jacks are not designed to lift and support trailers for something like taking the wheels off; they are meant to simply level and stabilize by handling a portion of the trailer's weight. I would not be able to recommend using stabilizer jacks to keep a trailer up. A better option would be a bottle jack such as the Powerbuilt # ALL620471 to remove tires. A bottle jack like the Powerbuilt # ALL620471 is the right type of jack to use for changing and rotating tires and other trailer maintenance work. But using wood blocks will reduce the stability of the jack and affect the safety of that process. Any trailer work is best done with wheels chocked on both sides. We offer rubber wheel chock products like # MT70073 and # MT70072 to steady the trailer while you work on it. If you like the Powerbuilt jack for its size you can use it along...

If you need stabilizers for your travel trailer I recommend Scissor Stabilizer Jacks like part # TJSCHD-24. The Powerbuilt Unijack Bottle Jack with Built-In Jack Stand - 21" Lift - 6,000 lbs # ALL620471 is the solution for both of your questions. You should use two of these to lift your ATV level. The scissor jacks for RV's are only support jacks and not intended for lifting at all. That will also allow you to hold the axle up to that 21 inches high. This jack is also heavy duty enough to help you lift up an axle on your triple axle toy hauler to change the tire.
