  • 1-Year warranty

Features:

  • Raises, lowers, and stabilizes unibody vehicles
    • Great for cars, crossovers, and small SUVs and trucks
  • Safety bar locks the jack into place
    • Removing the need for jack stands
  • Wide base provides more stability for lifting loads safely
  • Meets ANSI standards

Note: This jack is designed to lift and stabilize 6,000 lbs and should not be used to lift over 6,000 lbs.

Using a Unijack

Begin using the Unijack by placing it on solid, level ground in a vertical position under the vehicle or object you wish to lift. Determine the best lifting point to support the bottle jack and line up the piston ram underneath it. Once everything is lined up correctly, turn the lever switch at the base of the piston clockwise to allow you to move the piston up and down. After you have the vehicle lifted to the desired height, the jack will automatically lock into place. The Unijack will then double as a jack stand to support the lift. To unlock the jack, simply turn the lever at the base of the piston counterclockwise and the hydraulics will slowly move in a downward motion.

Video Transcript for Powerbuilt Tools - Vehicle Tools - ALL620471 Review

Today we're going to be taking a look at part number ALL620471. This is the Powerbuilt Unijack with a 6,000 pound weight capacity. This is a hydraulic bottle jack. It's going to raise, lower and stabilize uni-body vehicles which makes this great for cars, cross-overs, smaller SUV's and trucks. This right here is going to be our safety bar. This is going to lock the jack into place so it's going to remove the need for jack stands.

As the vehicle raises the lock in lever is going engage automatically to the ratcheting bar and that's going to prevent accidental lowering. It's also going to have the nice wide base. This is going to provide more stability for lifting loads safely. We're going to have the adjustable extension bar, you can see the multiple holes there. It's going to come with that safety pin. Also we have that set to the height we need.

Just place that pin in there and that's going to secure it at the height that we're looking for. The top of this extension bar that's going to be the surface that makes contact with the frame of the vehicle. That's going to give us a measurement of about 2 5/8 of an inch by 2 inches. This down here, this is going to be our release valve that's going to be controlled or operated by one end of the handle. You place that over. Now when you're using that we want to make sure that's in the fully closed position.

It's going to come with the handle. It's a two piece handle held together with that screw. That's going to give us an over-all length of 14 inches. Then once it's installed in the socket here, the measurement that we have from the end of the socket to the end of the handle is going to measure about 12 1/4 of an inch. Again, this jack is going to offer a weight capacity of 6,000 pounds. We take a look at the base dimensions.

Measuring this direction it's going to measure about 9 inches. Then measuring this direction we're looking about 9 and 1/8 of an inch. The jack is going to feature a lift range from 11 inches to 21 inches. This is designed to lift and stabilize 6,000 pounds. You want to be sure to not go over that lift capacity. When it comes to using the Unijack. You want to begin by using this on a nice solid level surface. You want to make sure it's in the vertical position under the vehicle or object that you're going to be lifting. You're going to need to determine the best lifting point to support the bottle jack and line up the piston ram underneath it. Now once everything is lined up correctly, again you want to make sure the release valve is in the fully closed position. Then place the handle in here and as you pump this up and down, it's going to raise the jack. Now you can move the vehicle to the desired height. Again, you're going to have that extension bar that you can adjust as well. As you lift it, the locking lever is going to stay in the down position which is going to automatically lock the jack into place. Now to unlock the jack or to lower it, lower the vehicle, you want to raise the vehicle a little bit just enough to move the lever to the up position. Then we're going to come down to the release valve. We're going to turn that counter-clockwise just a little bit to open it up. With weight applied to the top of the jack it's going to be able to depress back into the housing. Also when you're going to store this from when you're not using it you want to make sure it's fully depressed or lowered because that's going to keep those really important components from exposure and excessive corrosion. Nice design. It's made from steel and cast iron. It has a nice paint finish on it. Certain components on this are going to have that nice powder coat finish on it to resist rusting corrosion as well. That's going to do it for our review of part number ALL620471. This is the Powerbuilt Unijack with a weight capacity of 6,000 pounds.

We store these for emergency use in out trailer boxes. They add peace of mind for roadside tire changes. They do seem to be sensitive to rust and abuse and need to be stored in a relatively clean and dry environment such as a trailer box. 574491

Perfect for stashing in a trailer in case of a road emergency. The only downside is that they like to be kept clean and dry which is not an insurmountable task. 591491

We use them as jacks for our trailers and trucks. So much easier than carrying around floor jacks. They do need to be kept clean and dry or they will not be reliable. 586424

Do you have a question about this Tool?

  • Recommended Jack for Changing Tire on 8,200 Pound Tandem Axle Trailer
  • The Powerbuilt Unijack # ALL620470 referenced in your question has a weight capacity of 4,000 pounds. This is likely enough for your 8,200 pound trailer, but I recommend going up a bit with the Unijack # ALL620471 that is rated for 6,000 pounds. This will give you more of a safety margin for jacking up the trailer to change a tire. This bottle jack features a lift range of 11 to 21 inches and the safety bar locks the jack into place removing the need for jack stands. I have attached...

  • Recommended Jack to Lift a Trailer to Change a Tire
  • Trailer stabilizer jacks like # TJSCHD-24 are not designed to be used to lift a trailer and hold it up for maintenance. Their purpose is to stabilize the trailer while it's parked and no more. What you're looking for is a jack to hold the trailer in the same fashion one would hold your car to change the tire. For this we have several options like the Buffalo Tools # BTEJ212 which has a maximum lift of 14 inches and can support up to 2,000 pounds. If you need an option with a higher...

  • Wheel Change Jack Compatible with Triple Axle Trailer
  • The Andersen Rapid Jack # AM3620 is not designed to work with triple axle trailers. If you are looking to use it for leveling, then I recommend the Andersen Camper Wheel Chock and Leveler # AM3604 for your application. The similar # EZ-JACK is also not for use on triple axle trailers. If you are looking to use for changing a tire there unfortunately isn't a drive on solution we can offer. You will need the Powerbuilt Unijack Bottle Jack with Built-In Jack Stand - 21" Lift - 6,000...

  • Jack for Tire Replacement on Lifted Jeep
  • Our scissor jacks should not be used to lift a car to replace a spare tire as they were not designed for that application. Instead, depending on how far you need to lift, you may be able to use the Powerbuilt Unijack # ALL620470, which can lift up to 4,000 lbs and a range between 8-5/8" and 18-3/8", or Powerbuilt Unijack # ALL620471 which has a lift capacity of 6,000 lbs and a lift range between 11" and 21". After lifting your vehicle the jack locks into place with a safety bar so you would...

  • Can the Powerbuilt Unijack Be Stored On Its Side
  • The Powerbuilt Unijack part # ALL620470 will need to be stored in an upright position like most bottle jacks so that it does not leak and so that air pockets cannot form inside. That said, the above only offers 18-3/8" of lift so you might need to use the Powerbuilt Unijack Bottle Jack with Built-In Jack Stand part # ALL620471 instead as this offers up to 21" of lift. The best way to store either of these would be in a truck bed toolbox like the DeeZee Red Label Truck Bed Toolbox part # DZ8546B.

  • Recommended Jack To Be Used For Changing Tires
  • We do have a jack that would work for you when you want to change the tire on your trailer or vehicle, but the Ultra-Fab Ultra Scissor Jack, part # UF48-979006 is not designed to be able to hold that much weight. Ultra-Fab's note states ' This jack is designed to stabilize a portion of your trailer's weight, not to support the full GVWR of your trailer. Do not use this jack to lift your trailer or RV. Doing so will exceed the capacity of the jack.' I recommend the Powerbuilt Unijack,...

  • Jack Recommendation for Travel Trailer for Changing Flats
  • Going with a bottle jack like the Powerbuilt Unijack Bottle Jack with Built-In Jack Stand # ALL620471 would be what I would recommend. Since it doubles as a jack stand it gives you the ability to jack up the trailer and safely hold it at the height you want when changing the tire.

  • Can Leveling Jack be Used to Lift Wheels off the Ground?
  • A leveling jack such as # JSC-24 is not designed to lift your trailer off the ground, it is only meant to provide support to your camper. To change a tire on your trailer you would want to use a bottle jack such as # ALL620471. I've added a link to video reviews of this product for you to take a look at.

  • Bottle Jack and Safety Stands for Use During Trailer Maintenance
  • A bottle jack like the Powerbuilt # ALL620471 is the right type of jack to use for changing and rotating tires and other trailer maintenance work. But using wood blocks will reduce the stability of the jack and affect the safety of that process. Any trailer work is best done with wheels chocked on both sides. We offer rubber wheel chock products like # MT70073 and # MT70072 to steady the trailer while you work on it. If you like the Powerbuilt jack for its size you can use it along...

  • Recommended Trailer Jack Versus Trailer Stabilizer Jack
  • The Ultra-Fab Ultra Scissor Jacks - 24" Lift - 6,500 lbs - Qty 2 # UF48-979002 although they look like the scissor jacks that come with many vehicles for spare tire change are not intended for lifting according to the manufacturer. They are likely strong enough for that use as you stated on your application, but I can't recommend it based on the warranty of the product even though these are rated much higher than the weight you will be lifting. You can absolutely use these to stabilize...

  • Can Trailer Stabilizer Scissor Jacks be Used to Lift a Trailer
  • Scissor jacks for trailers such as # TJSCHD-24 are used for support but not lifting applications. For lifting I recommend using a bottle jack such as # ALL620471 and then using a stabilizer jack to support the trailer at the proper height. Bottle jacks are great since they don't take up a lot of space and still have plenty of capacity.

  • Jack Recommendation for Using as Emergency Jack for Boat Trailer
  • The Powerbuilt Unijack Bottle Jack part # ALL620471 that you referenced is a great choice because it has more than enough capacity at 6,000 lbs and since it has a built in jack-stand it's safe to use without separate jack stands which allows you to save space by not having to also have jack stands.

  • Jack Recommendation for Trailer with Wide Axle Spacing for Changing Spare
  • Your axles are so far apart that you would need to go with a bottle jack like the part # ALL620471 to get the axle off the ground high enough to change the spare. I wish there was a ramp style jack that would work but like you figured out the axle spacing screws that up.

  • Can Trailer Hitch for 2011 Toyota RAV4 be Installed in Garage?
  • The Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver # 75235 can be installed on your 2011 Toyota RAV4, though being unable to lift your vehicle will make it more difficult. It is certainly possible, especially if you use something like the Powerbuilt Unijack Bottle Jack with Built-In Jack Stand # ALL620471. Just be sure to lock the jacks in place, and you may even want to use additional stands # PTW41021.

  • Can Powerbuilt Unijack Bottle Jack Be Used As Stabilizer For 24-Ft Travel Trailer
  • The Powerbuilt Unijack Bottle Jack, part # ALL620471 is designed to be use when you need to work on a trailer or change a tire, but is not designed to be used as a stabilizer. If you need stabilizers for your travel trailer I recommend Scissor Stabilizer Jacks like part # TJSCHD-24. When collapsed these jacks are 5-inches tall, and when extended the height is 23-3/4 inches. These have a capacity of 2,500-lbs per jack.

  • Yes, the Blaylock EZ Jack and Wheel Chock part # EZ-JACK can be used on a triple axle trailer like you have but you would need to turn the curve up, opposite the wheel, and drive up on the jack and you will be able to change the tires. Otherwise the best way to change a tire out on your boat trailer would be with a jack and jack stand for which we have the Powerbuilt Unijack Bottle Jack with Built-In Jack Stand part # ALL620471 that is both. I have attached a review video of both options...

  • Recommended Jack For Raising Sunray Travel Trailer To Change Tire
  • To lift your trailer I recommend using a jack like the Powerbuilt Unijack, part # ALL620471. This jack has a 6,000-lb weight capacity and the lift range is between 11 and 21 inches. Scissor jacks like part # JSC-30-IND that you referenced are not recommended for lifting trailers and are to be used for stabilization only. You want to make sure the wheel on the other side of the trailer is chocked and not able to move when changing the tire.

The scissor jacks for RV's are only support jacks and not intended for lifting at all. That will also allow you to hold the axle up to that 21 inches high. • Can Stabilizer Jacks be Used to Lift and Support Trailer?
  • Stabilizer jacks are not designed to lift and support trailers for something like taking the wheels off; they are meant to simply level and stabilize by handling a portion of the trailer's weight. I would not be able to recommend using stabilizer jacks to keep a trailer up. A better option would be a bottle jack such as the Powerbuilt # ALL620471 to remove tires. • Ram Scissor Stabilizer Jack # TJSC-24 is meant to be permanently attached to the bottom of a trailer or RV and used for stabilization purposes and not lifting. There isn't a specific E-Track mount to hold the jack but something such as storage hook # EM59142 could be used or strap it down with an E-Track strap such as # EM59151.
