Features to know about

Tackling Snowy Hills and Icy Roads: Square Links That Grip and Go

When the road turns white and slick, these pewag Brenta C chains dig in with their square links to keep you moving. The design bites into snow and light ice so you can climb steep grades and stay in control, even when traction disappears. The small 3.2 mm links make the ride smoother than many heavy-duty chains, so you get reliable grip without the harsh bumps.

Stay Steady on Every Turn: Diamond Pattern Keeps Traction Constant

The diamond pattern isn’t just for looks—it lets more of the chain stay in contact with the road at any moment. That means smoother acceleration, better braking, and steadier steering through corners. Whether you’re creeping up a mountain driveway or easing down an icy lane, the pattern helps your tires stay planted instead of slipping.

Avoid Hassle in the Cold: Built-In Assisted Tensioning Does the Work

Getting chains snug can be a chore, but these have built-in tensioners that pull tight with a simple tug. They’re attached to the chain, so there’s no loose parts to lose in the snow. The color-coded hooks and clips show you exactly where each connection goes, making setup quicker when your hands are cold and daylight’s fading.

Drive Confidently with Tight Clearances: Class S Compatible for Limited Space

If your vehicle has tight wheel wells, these chains meet SAE Class S standards for limited clearance. The compact design fits where others can’t, so you can get the traction you need without worrying about rubbing or interference.

Built to Handle Winter Season After Season: Titanium Alloy Steel Resists Rust

Winter road salt and moisture can eat up ordinary chains fast, but not these. The titanium alloy steel resists corrosion and holds its shape through repeated use. Dry them off after each trip and store them in the included hard case, and they’ll be ready for the next storm.

  • B: at least 0.59" (15 mm) between the tire's sidewall and the vehicle

Confirming Your Fit

If you know your tire size, you may think you won't need to test fit your new chains. But there are a lot of variables that can affect whether chains will fit your specific tires, including your tire type, the amount of air pressure in the tire, the amount of tread wear, and the tire manufacturer.

We recommend that you order chains as early in the season as possible to give yourself plenty of time to test fit the chains and reorder if needed. This way, you won't be stuck out in the cold later with snow chains that don't fit.

You can test fit these chains in your garage or driveway, but you'll want to wait until there's snow on the ground to actually drive with them. Likewise, if you're out in the snow and come across bare pavement, you'll want to pull over and remove the chains. These chains can cause damage to the bare pavement, your garage floor, or your vehicle if they break from the wear of riding on a harsh surface.

work perfectly as expected. great produ ct!!!

by:

as advertised! I am disabled and being cold is not an option for me. after watching a video on youtube and reading the instructions ( pictures included) i installed these chains in 4 mins BOTH SIDES.
first time iv been off the ranch in 6 days! I have a 2007 kia sportage with goodrich 215/70/R16 allterrain tires and couldnt get traction because of the snow over ice condictions on steep hills.
no problem now! couldnt believe how easy they r to install and they never slipped once!! I would also recomend these for seniors and younger drivers ( they r that easy to install)!

They are quality made and easy on easy off. Great chains

Finally found the time to do a dry fit. The chains appear to fit well. These chains are for a 3/4 ton diesel truck. I'm a little concerned about some of the perimeter chain links on the outside face of the chain installation. These are used to set the final tension of the chain. There are several that are not welded. Not sure how strong the steel is for those links, but am concerned that under load, the links could open up in some situations releasing the tensioning. Must not be a problem due to other good reviews, but I will have to keep an eye on those links if I ever put those chains into service.

by:

Easy on easy off perfect fit! The quality exceeded my expectations heavy duty unique design. Noah at Etrailer was extremely helpful in getting the right vendor and product that I needed to properly fit my Ineos Grenadier. Icy packed roads will no longer be a challenge with this set of snow chains.

One thing to remember, when putting on or off the chains make sure the free red chain with the bungee and hook at its end is clear. Ideally the whole thing should face you. Do not yank the chain quickly either putting it on or off. If you do that red chain may flip up and the bungee hook around a brake line. If it does you will need to go under the vehicle to unhook it.

Once you figure your way around that mistake, they go on/off as you might expect.

  • Tire Chain Recommendation for a 2012 Honda Pilot 4WD
You should have no problem with the performance of the Glacier Cable Snow Chains, # PW2016C, on your trip, but for superior strength and durability, I would recommend looking at the Pewag Brenta-C 4X4 Tire Chains, # PWXMR80V. The Pewag chains are made of a durable titanium alloy steel that will provide better durability and performance than the low-carbon steel and rubber of the cable style chains. A few things to keep in mind when using snow chains is not to exceed the maximum speed...

  • What is the Speed Limit for the Pewag Brenta C Tire Chains PWXMR80V
The speed limit for the Pewag Brenta C Tire Chains part # PWXMR80V is 35 mph. Please note, this is the speed limit for nearly all snow tire chains and cables so you won't likely find one with a higher rating. The vehicle's owners manual may also have a different speed rating for when tire chains are installed and if that's the case you'll need to abide by the lower of the two ratings. I have attached a list for you below with all the tire sizes these chains will fit. If you have a different...

  • Tire Chains that Can Fit Tire Sizes 235/55R19 and 225/50R18
The Pewag tire chains part # PWSXP570 actually do not fit either of the tire sizes you mentioned. For the 235/55R19 of the Audi you could use the pewag Brenta-C part # PWXMR80V. This does not fit the 225/50R18 size though so for that you could use the Konig set part # TH01221104 for the most similar set. Tire chains fit a really narrow size range which is why one size does not fit all unfortunately.

  • Tire Chains For 265/65-16 Tires
No, tire chains will not fit both 265/65-16 and 265/65-17 tires. I'm not sure but I think you're saying you have 265/65-16 tires and if so you will need the pewag Brenta C Tire Chains # PWXMR80V.

  • Tire Chains for a 1997 Jeep Wrangler with 30/9.5-15 Tires
In order to recommend the correct set of tire chains for your jeep I would need the tire size printed on the sidewall of your tires rather than the overall diameter and width. Once provided I would then be glad to inform you of the options you have.

  • Recommended Snow Chains to Fit on a 2007 Chrysler Pacifica with 235/65R17 Tires
I recommend self tensioning snow chains like the Pewag Brenta-C 4X4 Square Link Chains, # PWXMR80V, for your vehicle. These chains automatically tighten and align as you drive for the simplest installation possible. You should check your vehicle owners manual for snow chain compatibility recommendations also.
