Video Transcript for Review of ARB Tire Inflator - Single Motor Portable Air Compressor - ARB46FR

Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at this ARB single-motor portable air compressor. Now, this portable single air compressor system is going to let you run air lockers or give you the ability to quickly air up your tires on your vehicle or on your motor home or trailer. Being that this is portable, it's gonna be very flexible for you. I'm gonna go ahead and pop this open, and then I'm gonna give you an overhead view so you can see a little bit easier what we have going on inside. So this is going to have a maximum air pressure of 100 psi.

The maximum air flow is 3.08 cubic feet per minute. And then, the duty cycle is 50%. So we have our single-motor compressor here. And we've got our battery clamps here that are going to attach to your vehicle's 12-volt battery. And then we have a 20-foot long hose with Quick Connect that's going to let you use different attachments.

So this is going to be very easy to use. So hopefully you got a good view in there. Let me go back to my wide view here real quick. We do have a pocket here where I've got the instruction manual at, but this pocket's also going to be great for putting in the other fittings. So we've got a smaller one here and then a larger one right here.

So that's a nice touch as well. I wanna go back overhead, and I'm just gonna show you this Quick Connect, how easy this is going to be to use. So just gonna plug that in. Then I'm gonna take one of the other fittings here and plug it in here. And this tip is going to allow me to use these accessory tips here, the smaller ones, so I could like blow up a air mattress or an inflatable pool toy or something like that.

So you can do it just like that. But what I wanna do is, I wanna hook this up to my power source here. So give me just a second here. I'm gonna get my clamps here and hook them up. So I wanted you to really just to kinda hear the compressor so you had an idea of what it sounds like. I know it's not gonna be actually an accurate representation, per se, over the microphone here that's on my shirt. But I just wanted to kinda give you an idea what it sounds like. So we have our switch here. Let me go ahead and kick it on. (compressor whirring) I've got air coming outta here. (compressor continues whirring) So I'll kick that off. Again, 100 psi is the maximum air pressure. (compressor whirring) 50% duty cycle. And then a maximum air flow of 3.08 (compressor whirring) cubic feet per minute. (compressor continues whirring) So hopefully that kinda gives you a good idea. To me, it's not overly loud. The sound's pretty tolerable, especially for it being portable. I don't think you're gonna have to worry about noise much at all with this. And so I'm gonna go ahead and just disconnect this, just like that. I love the Quick Connect. It's very easy to use. And I'll unscrew this one accessory tip here and then remove this tip here just like that. So the battery clamps do have an inline fuse right here. Let me see if I can pop that open there for ya real quick. So this comes with a 40-amp fuse, so that's going to help prevent short circuiting or overloading or anything like that. And then the safety valve is going to keep the unit from pressure buildup. So actually, before our time together, I did turn this on without any of the hoses attached to it. And as soon as the pressure built up, it just shut itself off completely and I needed to insert the hose here to let that pressure out. So you're not gonna have to worry about this thing becoming, you're not gonna have to worry about it getting damaged in that way. So you're gonna be able to fit everything in here. It's gonna be very easy to close that up (case clicking) and clamp it down just like that. So it's a durable case too. (case thunking) I'm really impressed with this unit. It's a very durable case. It's gonna keep everything together. And just to give you a closer view here, give you a better view of the accessory tips that's included here. So this is what you're going to get with this. You're gonna be able to keep everything aired up. And let me go ahead and just give you some measurements. Looking at the overall width from end to end, I measured about 14 inches wide. And then the overall depth is about seven inches. And then the overall height is about a foot tall or so. If you add the handle, it's gonna be a little bit taller. But with the handle down, it's about a foot tall. So again, this is a single-motor compressor, but if you are interested in a little bit more power, ARB does have a twin-motor portable compressor that also has a tank included inside. So if you're interested in taking a look at that, on your screen, I am including the part number for that twin-motor portable air compressor. You can just take that number, pop it in the search field of our website. That will take you to that one. And you can take a look at it and order that one instead if you're looking for a little bit more air power. I failed to mention, this weighs a little over 15 pounds, just to kinda give you an idea of the weight. But again, very portable, very solid. It doesn't feel like it's low-quality at all. It feels very high-quality in my opinion. Well that's gonna wrap up our look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
