Notes:
Once your tire begins to roll, the beads will get distributed around its interior thanks to centrifugal force. As the wheel continues to spin, the heavy spot in your unbalanced tire will pull up and down on your trailer's suspension. This will cause the beads to shift in the opposite direction of that pull. The beads will continue to migrate until there are enough of them on the opposite side of the heavy spot to balance your tire. This process will continue for the life of the tire, constantly and automatically adjusting when necessary.
There is a misconception that trailers do not need to have balanced tires. The truth is, a trailer with unbalanced wheel assemblies will increase the roll resistance for your tow vehicle and create a much bumpier ride. Dragging a trailer with janky wheels can cause your truck to expend a good deal of energy, resulting in higher fuel costs. Fueling your truck can cost you a fortune, so why not do everything possible to cut down on those costs?
Counteract balancing beads were independently tested and shown to improve fuel consumption up 2.2% on semi-truck and trailer combinations, where both the truck and trailer tires were balanced with beads. Not only does balancing your tires help you save money, but the less fuel you use, the better it is for the environment as well. Couple this with the fact that these beads are made from recyclable glass and won't come loose from the tire to contaminate the ecosystem, and you have an overall environmentally friendly product.

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the Counteract 10 ounce single bag of tire balancing beads for trailers. Now these Counteract balancing beads are the economical way to balance your trailer tire wheel assembly for the lifetime of the tire. These beads will install inside the tire. Now I did want to zoom in and show you when you get your bag here, it'll actually sealed at the top. There's a tear off tab, which I've already removed.
So just to show you what we have on the inside, when you open it, so you'll notice it'll come with four different pieces. It'll come with this 10 ounce bag of balancing beads. Comes with the vortex valve core, comes with a standard logo valve cap, and then it comes with the flow through cap also. Now the beads themselves, they are made of a coated glass. The balancing beads will not cause damage to the inner liner of the tire.
They won't clump regardless of excess moisture, and they are TPMS compatible. These beads are environmentally friendly construction, they're reusable and recyclable beads. But basically what I wanted to explain to you is how these Counteract beads tire balancing will work. And I wanted to pop up an insert just to show you there how it works. Basically what happens is once your tire begins to roll, this bag will break and the beads will get distributed around the interior thanks to centrifugal force.
So as that wheel continues to spin the heavy spot in your unbalanced tire, we'll pull up and down on your vehicle suspension, and this is gonna cause the beads to shift in the opposite direction of that pole. So the beads will continue to migrate until there's enough of them on the opposite side of the heavy spot to balance out your tire. Now these tire balancing beads continuously and automatically readjust the balance of your single trailer tire. And they do reduce vibration, ensure even wear to increase life of the tire, may even help improve fuel economy. As we mentioned, they're an easy installation.
You just throw this whole inner bag into the tire when it's removed from the wheel, or you can even inject the beads into the valve through the valve stem. The beads basically remain inside the tire and they don't come loose to contaminate the environment. They will not cause any damage to the wheels. And now if your tire does have an internal TPMS sensor, you will need to break down the tire to install these beads. And then when you go to order these to order the correct amount of beads needed for your application, what you'll do is get the size of the tire from the sidewall of your trailer tire and match it to the tire size listed on the product page for that size bag of beads. They do come in different size bags, which we do sell separately. A note I wanna mention, this 10 ounce bag of balancing beads is designed for use on trailers with 19.5 size trailer tires and a minimum of a half ton suspension. You do not wanna use these beads on passenger cars or SUVs. Now we mentioned the other parts they give you in order to reduce the possibility of any valve leaks. They do recommend the use of this Counteract vortex valve core and either one of these caps, either the standard metal valve cap or the flow through cap. These are recommended in place of your original valve core and cap. And as you can see, they are included in every bag of Counteract beads. These parts are made in the USA, quantity is one bag of beads for one tire, but that's gonna do it for the review on the Counteract 10 ounce single bag of tire balancing beads for trailers.
