Features to know about

Built to Hold Up Under Load: 1,250-lb Capacity and 0 Offset Strength

This steel wheel is made to handle serious hauling. With a load rating of 1,250 lbs, a 12" diameter, and a 4" width, it’s built for balance and durability. The 0 offset keeps the load centered on the hub for even stress across the bearings and axle, so you can count on lasting performance when your trailer is fully packed.

Fights Off Rust and Corrosion: 3-Step Powder Coat Finish

Moisture, salt, and grime are no match for this finish. The wheel’s 3-step process starts with a zinc phosphate bath for paint adhesion, followed by an e-coat primer and a baked-on silver powder coat on the outboard side. The inboard side gets a light e-coat that reduces friction and prevents flaking. The result is a clean, corrosion-resistant surface that stays looking sharp over time.

Stays Tight Trip After Trip: Improved Torque Retention Technology

No one wants to stop and re-torque lug nuts every few miles. This wheel’s improved torque retention (ITR) technology uses beveled, uncoated stud holes and a raised automotive-rated center disc to keep clamp force secure against the hub. It helps the wheel stay tight and true even after long runs or repeated use.

Close-up image showing beveled and uncoated stud holes on Taskmaster trailer wheel illustrating improved torque retention design.

Simple Fitment Confidence: 5 on 4-1/2" Bolt Pattern with 2.95" Pilot Diameter

It’s sized right for straightforward fitment. This modular steel wheel uses a common 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern with 1/2"-20 wheel bolts and a 2.95" pilot diameter. The included valve stem means it’s ready for mounting once you’ve got your tire picked out—no extra hardware needed.

Determining Bolt Pattern

1. Count the lug holes

Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).

Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug

2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)

Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.

Center to Center
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"

2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)

Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).

Center to Outside Edge
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

What really made this a five star is Diana at etrailer, it really made a difference too know that she was trying too see that I got what I needed. I have been getting my trailer ready for our annual trip when I noticed that two of my four tires were once again badly worn. I found I had two bent rims. After some research I found my axles, brakes, rims tires are way under rated. I have heard good things about etrailer so I ordered new stronger rims from Diana. So far I am very happy with my purchase.

by:

I purchased these wheels because they had a little bit of a different look and I was impressed with the PVD finish information upon receiving the rims. There are numerous chips around the edge of rim typical of what you would expect out of a painted rim, but I thought maybe this PVD would be different.

by:

I bought 4, 16'' Taskmaster wheels to up grade my trailer to a heavy duty tire that was not available in a 15''.The price was outstanding and first class construction. They worked out so well for my race car trailer that I spread the word to friends. So far we have purchased 18 wheels to up grade all of our trailers. Thanks Etrailer !!

by:

I couldn't be more pleased. Fair price, fast shipping, & the most accurate tracking I've ever seen. Thank you!

by:

After getting my new tires from etrailer I discovered that the rims I had which I was going to have them mounted on were badly corroded on the rear side. I called etrailer to asked them if I could get the rims with high pressure stems instead of the standard ones that came with the rims. The woman I spoke to was great (Katie). She looked up the right stems within a minute or so. I also asked her about balancing the tires. She was very knowledgeable and helpful. The Rims and stems came within 6 days, had them mounted and am about to take our RV trailer for a 800 mile trip. Thanks etrailer for all your help!

by:

Great wheels ! Would by again if needed ,held up during a high speed tire blowout at 75mph with zero damage to the wheel. Have over 10,000 miles highway use YTD

by:

After placing my order these arrived sooner than the projected date. I had upgraded to a sturdier axle on my trailer and needed more substantial wheels (with a different bolt pattern). Compared to other retailers these were relatively inexpensive, which is exactly what I wanted for my trailer. What else can I say? The wheels on the trailer go round and round....

by:

The trailer rims were priced right and exactly what I was looking for, see the attached photo.

Problem solved with the zero offset wheels, since the rims on my used trailer were old Chevy wheels and were blowing my tires out by rubbing the inside wheelwell.

Thanks!

by:

Now I have a spare for my car trailer thank you etrailer

by:

Great looking wheels. Speedy shipping. Will recommend

by:

You had them in stock and fill the order in a timely manner. Received the rims in excellent condition. Thank you for your service in providing all the great products for us trailer haulers.

by:

Product looks great . Love the tracking on package . I was surprised Crossing stated on ground shipping was so quick ,less than a week .

by:

Rim arrived in great shape and looks great. I love the coating. This wheel is to replace a missing spare on a used Malibu boat purchase. I couldn’t get myself to just settle for a plain painted wheel even if it is to be used as a spare, this will add about of style without breaking the bank.

by:

All wheels arrived with chips on edges of rims inside and out. These are for a boat trailer so I had to use paint touch up so they will not corrode .Pressed for time so I had to put them on. Wheels should have been packaged better to prevent this from happening.

by:

Been ordering from etrailer for a few years now. Product lists are VERY easy to browse, prices are outstanding, shipping is free, and never had any issues or had to return or even contact customer service for any reason. Just got a set of the black 15" trailer rims and they run great.

by:

I bought this Taskmaster white modular rim as a spare for a utility trailer so I would not get stranded on the road with a flat. The rim was good quality and the packing job was fantastic with a sturdy box with loads of shipping paper to protect the product. I really appreciated the valve stem coming with the wheel to save me looking for one .Service at etrailer.com was outstanding with good prices and fast shipping.

by:

Very nice powder coating on heavy duty 110psi rated wheels that arrived when promised. For someone looking for a great looking RV wheel without the price of aluminum alloy wheels and much easier to clean these are excellent value in my opinion.

by:

Awesome customer service. Fast shipping and great price. Needed to upgrade to larger tires and wheels after a dual blowout on our Rv. Called and wheels were delivered within 2 days of order being placed.

by:

Lowest prices rims with the highest load rating I could find. Bought these to replace a mix match set that was rusty for a used dump trailer I just bought. Found China tires 225/75/15 load e the red and blue pin stripe really adds to the white color of the rim. I’m right at 100 dollars per wheel tire can’t complain

by:

So far so good. Replaced old bent trailer wheels (galvanized spoke type) with these. Read that the modular wheels are a little stronger than the spoke type so giving them a shot. Trailer is 49’x105”, Aluminium/steel, boat type, fifth wheel, with mini spread 6k torsion axles. About 3.6k lbs empty; normally 8~15k lbs loaded. Since it’s setup mini spread the tires scrub quite a bit. Was running E load range 235/85/16’s but switched to F load range, same size (Incredible difference longevity wise/they’ve been great! Hercules H-901). Anyways, I did lots of research and found out that these rims are rated for up to 120psi (tires are 105psi). You can run F range tires on these no-problem. Supplied valve stems are only good for like 80psi (rubber snap in) so I ordered some 120psi (metal bolt in) stems separately. Understand the wheels are still rated for the same amount of weight, but if you’re tired of replacing trailer tires constantly or, like me, have a mini spread or spread axle setup, F load range is the way to go.

by:

The wheel arrived on time and as advertised. It's a great product, very sturdy wheel. Mounting the tire on it was no trouble. Also customer service has been very attentive for several of my orders now, so kudos for that.

@LloydO Better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it! Glad to hear it is still looking new as well! Any more trips planned for the summer?

  • How to Switch to Radial Trailer Tires From 205/65-10 Bias Trailer Tires
Hi Dan, You're right that radial trailer tires are a much, much better option for highway driving than bias tires because radials run cooler. This means they flex more for better traction and less chance of a blowout on long trips. And you can switch from 205/65-10 bias tires to radials, but you'll need a different size tire and new wheels because there aren't 205/65-10 radials. A 205/65-10 measures 20.5" in diameter and 8.1" wide, and a close option is a ST145/R12 tire which is 5.7"...

  • Looking For Spare Tire For Waverunner Trailer Dexstar 17-228 12x4 JA 1250LB
Hello Stuart, thanks for getting in touch. We have a great option for you. According to the Dexstar catalogue, the 17-228 is a silver mod wheel with a 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern and no offset. We have a very similar silver mod wheel from Taskmaster, as well as a tire for you. Here is what I recommend: - Taskmaster Steel Modular Trailer Wheel - 12" x 4" Rim - 5 on 4-1/2 - Silver # TA79RR - Rambler ST145/R12 Radial Trailer Tire - Load Range D # TA89GR We do not offer this tire and wheel...

  • Wheel with 5 on 4-1/2" Bolt Pattern for Taskmaster 4.80-12 Trailer Tire
Hey Jim, thanks for reaching out! The Taskmaster 4.80R12 Radial Trailer Tire # TT48012C doesn't come on a wheel with a 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern, but if you also get the Taskmaster Steel Modular Trailer Wheel # TA79RR you can have a local tire shop install both together for you. Are you needing to replace a tire or are you wanting to upgrade?

  • Can Tire Load Ratings Be Different From One Trailer Wheel to the Other?
We do offer the Taskmaster Steel Modular Trailer Wheel # TA79RR separate from the Wheel and Tire # TA96RR. This will allow you to mount the Load Range B # AM10060 tire on the Wheel # TA79RR. It is best to not mix and match tires when it comes to size and load rating as this could have adverse effects on the trailer ride quality and tracking behind your tow vehicle.

  • Recommended Replacement Tires and Wheels for 2007 Palomino Pony 2100
I was able to do a little research and determine your 2007 Palomino Pony 2100 does have the 5 on 4-1/2 inch bolt pattern. I've linked the page to all the 5.30-12 combinations we offer with that bolt pattern to assist. My recommendation is the Taskmaster 5.30R12 Radial Trailer Tire - Load Range C # TT53012C and the Taskmaster Steel Modular Trailer Wheel - 12" x 4" Rim - 5 on 4-1/2 - Silver # TA79RR. We do not have these tires mounted on a wheel, but this will be your best scenario. These...

  • Recommended 5.30-12 Wheel/Tire with 5 on 4-1/2 Bolt Pattern for Trailer
I have some great 5.30-12 wheel/tire options with 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern for you to choose from. I like the Taskmaster 5.30-12 Bias Trailer Tire with 12" Silver Mod Wheel - 5 on 4-1/2 - Load Range C # TA26RR. However, I recommend going with a radial ply option as these will run cooler on the highway therefore last longer. This would require you to purchase the tire and wheel separately and then have them mounted at a local shop upon arrival. For the tire, I recommend the Taskmaster...

  • Will 5.30R12 Tires Be a Good Replacement for Original 5.30-12 Tires
The # TT53012C 5.30R12 tires you'd looked at are just about a 1/4 inch narrower and about 1/3 of an inch smaller in diameter than your existing 5.30-12 tires. The # TT53012C would work perfectly fine for you, and if your existing tires are bias ply, the 5.30R12 will have a smoother, cooler ride. Excess heat builtup is the main cause of tire failure so keeping the tires as cool as possible is essential. The # TT53012C is a Load Range C tire with a 1050 lb per tire/2100 lb per axle rating....

We do have many 12x4 inch wheels with the 5 on 4-1/2 inch bolt pattern. The center pilot hole you referenced is and interesting question because trailer wheels are not centered on the hub so the size of that hole isn't as important as the bolt pattern that helps center the wheel on the hub. It sounds you are looking for a new trailer wheel for your 4.80-12 trailer tires. Your 13 inch is like just a 12 inch wheel, but you may be measuring the overall diameter. Trailer wheel diameter is actually measured from bead seat to bead seat rather than overall, so a 12 inch diameter wheel may look more like a 13 inch diameter wheel. I'm guessing your wheel bolt pattern is actually 5 on 4-1/2 because 5 on 4.25 is not a common trailer wheel bolt pattern. I've attached a help article on...
