When you’re towing valuable cargo or gear, you want a wheel that won’t flinch under pressure. This 15" x 6" steel wheel is rated for 2,860 lbs and meets Department of Transportation standards, giving you dependable strength mile after mile. The 0 offset keeps the load centered on the hub, helping maintain balance and even wear when carrying heavy weight.
Moisture, saltwater, and road grime can eat through cheap wheels fast. This pebbled black Dexstar wheel is triple protected—first with a zinc layer, then e-coated, and finally finished with a durable powder coat. That layered defense locks out rust and oxidation so the finish stays clean and the structure stays solid even through seasons of use near water or in humid environments.
Getting a solid fit is key to safe towing. This modular steel wheel uses a 6 on 5-1/2 bolt pattern with a 4.27" pilot diameter and 1/2"-20 wheel bolts for secure mounting. Every detail works together to keep things tight and true under load and at highway speeds.
A tough wheel can still look good. The modular design gives it a classic look with extra rigidity built into the structure, while the pebbled black finish adds a subtle texture that hides dirt and stays sharp over time. It’s a simple upgrade that brings both strength and style to your trailer setup.
1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a brief look together at this Dexstar Steel Galvstar Mod Trailer Wheel. Now this sturdy steel wheel is made here in the USA, and it does feature this pebbled black finish with this mod pattern. And this meets the OT specifications. Now this wheel does have excellent corrosion resistance, particularly for salt water marine applications with its superior oxidation protection with a zinc e-coat, and pebbled black powder coat.
And this is a really nice pebble black powder coat finish that this has here. Now let me go ahead, and give you some measurements here. Let's look at the diameter, and I'm gonna be measuring the diameter from bead seat to bead seat. That's how you measure the diameter of a wheel. So I'm gonna try to line this up here so you can see.
So lining that up there from bead seat to bead seat where that wheel is going to sit. As you can see, we are sitting right at 15 inches in diameter. And then looking at the width, again, where that wheel is gonna sit, measuring bead seat to bead seat, finding that up there. So you can see. Right at six inches.
So 15 inches in diameter. Six inches wide. And our bolt pattern is six on five and a half inches. And in case you don't know, the first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. And then the second number is the diameter in inches of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.
So to determine the bolt circle diameter on wheels with an even number of bolt holes as we have here, you're simply going to measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the bolt hole directly across from it. The wheel stud size is a half an inch by 20. This does have a capacity of 2,860 pounds. The center cap is sold separately, but if you decide to pick one up, you do wanna make sure that it fits the pilot diameter of 4.27 inches. Well, I think that's gonna wrap up our real quick look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
