This wheel is easy to match to most standard hubs thanks to its 14-inch diameter, 5-1/2-inch width, and common 5 on 4-1/2” bolt pattern. It uses standard 1/2"-20 wheel bolts and has a 3.19" pilot diameter for a secure, centered fit. That straightforward sizing eliminates guesswork when it’s time to replace or refresh your setup.

1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the Dexstar 14-inch by 5-1/2-inch silver modular steel trailer wheel, the five on 4-1/2-inch bolt pattern. Now this wheel's a sturdy steel construction. We mentioned it's the modular design. When we say modular design, that's the one that has the round holes all the way around the wheel. This wheel has excellent corrosion resistance 'cause it uses a two-step finishing process, which will first include an E-coat primer and then a silver powder coat finish over that.
It is a high-quality wheel, meets the DOT, Department of Transportation, specifications. And if you notice the center cap is not included, we do sell those separately. If you need one, when you do get a center cap, you need to make sure you get one that has the same diameter as this pilot hole. 'Cause when you install it, it'll go through this hole. Diameter of this pilot hole is 3.19-inches.
Now this wheel is made by Dexstar, which means it's made in the USA. I wanna give you a few measurements on this. We're gonna measure the diameter and the width. And when you measure the diameter, what you're measuring is actually gonna be inside to inside 'cause you're measuring where the tire beads are. So when you put a tire on here, the beads will seat right here.
So you're gonna measure from one tire bead to the other tire bead, inside to inside. So if we put a tape measure, you can see there's your 14-inch diameter, and if we do the width, it'd be the same way. Bead seat to bead seat or inside to inside. And there's your 5-1/2-inch wide. Now the bolt pattern on this is a five on 4-1/2-inch.
If you wanna measure that on a wheel, that's an odd number of lugs, like in this case, five. What you have to do is just pick out one of the holes, let's say this one, and measure across to either one of these holes. But when you measure, it's from the center of the starting hole to the furthest edge that you measure to. So on this one, if we measured, it'd be 4-1/2-inches. So it's a five lug, 4-1/2-inch bolt pattern. Does use a wheel lug size of 1/2-inch by 20, and the weight capacity on this is 2,200 pounds. But that should do it for a look up the Dexstar 14-inch by 5-1/2-inch silver modular steel trailer wheel with the five on 4-1/2-inch bolt pattern.

The rims are terrific and fit my trailer perfectly. What really set my order from Etrailer apart was the service. After I saw my order confirmation state an approximate ship date that was a week away, I called customer service and spoke to Laura (?). She was the best, and promptly upgraded my shipping so I would receive my rims in time to be installed prior to my leaving for my vacation. Will certainly use etrailer again. Great customer service!

The product is great, but shipping was not what I had excepted. I ordered from etrailer on the 21st due to showing that the product would be delivered by the 26th which would give me time to have the tire mounted before leaving. The rim didn't arrive until the 28th which didn't give me the time I needed.
While these rims looked great and were priced well I did exchange them for a higher quality rim at etrailer. The runout while rolling exceeded my standards. The slightly higher priced rims were MUCH BETTER. Amy and e trailer went the extra mile to make things right.

bought 4 rims 1 was bent they shipped out another one was supposed to went next day delivery the lady told me she would expedite it and it would go out today for friday delivery now the order says saturday delivery we were leaving Saturday early to Florida now i can't get it mounted until monday a $[XX] rim is going to cost me about $800 in expenses loading money on reservation not being able to show up until probably tuesday and this cuts our vacation 3 days - very very disappointed

Not a lot to say - it seems to be holding the spare tire very effectively. The spare has been used, so it worked! It rotated and worked like a wheel should. The wheels on the RV did in fact, go round and round, all through the town (and country). I would buy it again.

The tires are holding up well since installing. I dont put a lot of miles on them but at least I have changed out the low MPH 85 vs 65 import tires.
