Features to know about

Built for Confident Highway Miles: Load Range E with 81-mph Speed Rating

Long hauls call for a tire that can handle the heat and the miles. The Rambler ST225/75R15 radial trailer tire is Load Range E with a 10-ply rating and carries up to 2,860 lbs at 80 psi. Its M speed rating—81 mph—means it’s built for steady highway towing without excess heat buildup. It meets DOT specs and exceeds FMVSS standards, so you can roll knowing it’s ready for real-world travel.

Keeps Its Cool Under Load: Double Steel Belts with Nylon Overlay

Heavy cargo and long miles put stress on a tire’s structure. This Rambler uses double steel belts and double polyester cords, reinforced by a nylon overlay that helps keep the tread firm and prevents separation. That construction reduces rolling resistance and keeps heat in check, extending tread life even when fully loaded.

Smooth, Steady Tracking for the Long Haul: Radial Ply Design

The radial design keeps the cords at a 90-degree angle to the direction of travel, which lets the sidewalls flex while the tread stays flat on the road. Less internal friction means less wear and a smoother ride at highway speeds. It’s a simple bit of engineering that makes a big difference in long-distance stability and steering precision.

Know Your Wear at a Glance: Built-In Tread Bars

Tread bars molded into the Rambler make it easy to see when it’s time for replacement. The standard ribbed tread pattern gives consistent contact across the surface, ideal for straight tracking on pavement while still shedding water effectively in wet conditions. It’s practical peace of mind every time you check your tires.

Determining Bolt Pattern

1. Count the lug holes

Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).

Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug

2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)

Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.

Center to Center
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"

2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)

Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).

Center to Outside Edge
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Video Transcript for Let’s Check Out the Rambler ST225/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this Taskmaster Rambler ST225/75R15 Radio Trailer Tire in a load range E. Now this is a radial ply tire, so it's great for highway use. They do use the double steel belts and the double polyester cords, which combine for a nice long life. And they do also use a nylon tread firming belt overlay to help prevent tread separation. This is designed to fit on 15 inch diameter wheels.

The tire size, which will be stamped on the sidewall, right here, you'll see it's ST for special trailer, 225/75R15. The R lets you know that it is a radial design tire. Load range on this is load range E, which means it's a 10 ply rated tire. So the maximum load capacity is 2,860 pounds at 80 PSI. And now all the new trailer tires do have speed ratings on them and they stamp it on the sidewall by a letter designation.

And where that's at is right after the size. You'll see two numbers for the load index and then the letter M stamped there. That means it has an 81 mile per hour speed rating. Now, this tire does use a standard tread. You spin it this way and this standard tread has the solid continuous ribs and they have very few sipes or cuts in the rubber.

The sipes are usually what help with bad weather by breaking up any water that's underneath the tire. These tires, since they're designed for mainly use on trailers, they don't really require that level of traction that would be needed like, on a vehicle that has braking or steering. The tire is a ST tire, which is special trailer tire, has sturdy sidewalls so that it can handle heavy loads. It is created specifically for trailers. It's not intended for use on other vehicles.

And this tire does meet the DOT Department of Transportation specification and it will exceed your federal motor vehicle safety standards. But that's gonna do it for the review on this Taskmaster Rambler ST225-75R15 radial trailer tire, and a load range E.

I bought tires and they
came in the mail.
Awesome job guy.

by:

I selected this tire to replace old the 5.30-12 bias ply tires that were on my small utility trailer that I converted to haul Kayaks. I felt the radial option was preferable in terms of load and speed range of 81 mph compared to the bias ply limitation of 65 mph.
With these tires I feel more confident hitting the road for our next river trip. I’ll try to provide an update once I have some miles on these tires.

Nice upgraded tire. Excellent quality.

The perfect match to what came from the factory on the trailer. It took a while to get it in stock, but time was on my side for this one.
Great customer service and communications from E-Trailer. Thanks all!

by:

Excellent tire. I wound buy another one

by:

These tires are absolutely mint and there going to be holding 500 gallon of water I used to have a 6 ply lol so these should be just great can’t wait to get weight in the trailer and drive it around

by:

I only had about 400 miles on these tires when I picked up a piece of road debris. I went ahead and ordered a new tire and had the other patched for future use as a spare. So far (other than the puncture) I love these tires much better than the OEM 6 ply set. I have a 34' Travel Trailer that weighs 6,900lb when dry.
