This tire-and-wheel combo is made for serious hauling. The 215/75R17.5 radial tire carries a 16-ply rating and delivers a 4,806-lb maximum load at 125 psi, backed by a speed rating L (75 mph). The matching 17-1/2" x 6-3/4" hub-piloted modular wheel handles up to 6,005 lbs. Together they provide the strength, stability, and heat resistance you want for steady highway travel under full load.
Road grime and water don’t stand a chance against this finish. The heavy-duty steel wheel goes through a three-step process—zinc phosphate bath, e-coat primer, and baked-on DuPont silver powder coat on both sides—to lock out rust and keep it looking clean season after season.
The all-steel belts inside this radial tire boost durability and tread life, while the computer-generated tread pattern and premium rubber compound deliver confident traction on wet or dry pavement. Wide shoulders promote even wear, so your setup tracks straight and runs smooth mile after mile.
Centering is handled by the hub itself for precise alignment every time. This wheel is hub piloted with a +0.5" offset and an 8 on 6-1/2 bolt pattern, built to use flange nuts (sold separately). That means a tight, balanced connection that holds true under heavy loads and high speeds.

1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this Triangle 215/75 R 17.5 Radial Tire in a Load Range H on this 17 and a half inch Silver Modular Design Steel Trailer Wheel with an offset and an eight on six and a half inch bolt pattern. Now this tire and wheel assembly is designed for use on heavy duty trailers. The wheel is a heavy duty wheel. It is a sturdy steel construction.
You can see it has the eight hole modular design to it. This gives you excellent corrosion resistance. Has a silver powder coat finish over an e-coat primer. And this reel is a hub piloted wheel, which means this hole right here has a diameter of 4.76 inches. And it'll center exactly on the hub.
So when you put this up on your hub, it'll center here. And if you notice, the lug holes have no bevel or chamfer to 'em, and that's because it's centering on the hub. So it will require the use of the five eights inch by 18 size flange nuts to hold it into place. Those flange nuts we do sell separately on our website. They go by a part number of 95188.
Now this wheel also has a half inch positive offset, which means that the tire and wheel's actually gonna move towards the trailer frame. And we talk about offset on a wheel. That's measured from where this mounting part of the wheel is. So when you mount this onto your trailer, when this mounting surface right here on the wheel is right at the center line of the wheel, that's zero, that's the starting point. So half inch positive will mean it moves towards the front of the wheel a half an inch.
If it went to the back, that would be a negative offset. So this one has a half inch positive, which in turn, again, means that the tire and wheel moves towards the trailer frame. The diameter on this wheel is 17 and a half inches. The width on just the wheel is six and three quarter inches. Bolt pattern on this wheel is an eight on six and a half inch bolt pattern. And if you wanna measure that bolt pattern on a wheel that's an even number of lugs, in this case, eight, it's pretty easy because the lug holes are directly across from each other. So just pick any hole. Let's say this one. Measure it from the center of the first hole to the center of the hole right across from it. This on this wheel, it'll measure six and a half inches. So that means it's an eight lug, six and a half inch bolt pattern. Weight capacity on just the wheel by itself is 6,005 pounds. Now the tire that's modeled on this is a premium multi-use steer all position radial tire, and it is constructed with all steel belts to enhance durability, help extend the tread life. The shoulders, if we turn it this way, you can see they're wide shoulders. They promote even wear and better traction, and they use an enhanced casing package that'll help improve toughness and retread ability. The tire size, which is stamped on the sidewall, 215/75 R 17.5. The R means it's a radial tire. Section width is gonna be 8.3 inches. Overall diameter from the bottom to the top once inflated, it's 30.2 inches. And this tire is a load range H, which means it's a 16 ply rated tire. So this does have a maximum load capacity of 4,805 pounds at 125 PSI. And the last thing I wanna mention, all the tires now are coming through with a speed rating on 'em, and the speed rating is stamped on the sidewall, but it's stamped with a letter designation. And where you'll find that is right after the tire size we just went over, you'll see two numbers for the load index, and then the letter L. Speed rating L will mean that this tire has a 75 mile per hour speed rating. But that should do it for a look at this Triangle 215/75 R 17.5 Radial Tire in a Load Range H, mounted on this 17 and a half inch Silver Modular Design Steel Wheel with the offset and the eight on six and a half inch bolt pattern.
