This Provider 215/75R17.5 radial tire and 17-1/2" x 6-3/4" solid-center steel wheel combo is made for serious hauling. The 16-ply tire carries a maximum load of 4,805 lbs at 123 psi, backed by a wheel rated at 6,005 lbs. With its M (81-mph) speed rating, it’s built to keep steady through long highway miles without heat build-up or tread separation. The assembly meets DOT specifications and exceeds FMVSS standards for dependable performance on the road.
Salt, spray, and humid air won’t get to this wheel easily. The heavy-duty steel wheel goes through a zinc phosphate bath, an e-coat acrylic primer, and a baked-on DuPont silver powder coat applied to both sides. That triple layer helps prevent rust and keeps the finish looking clean through seasons of use.
The radial design uses double steel belts and double polyester cords for strength and long life. A nylon tread-firming belt overlay helps prevent tread separation while reducing rolling resistance and heat buildup. The result is a stable, comfortable ride that holds up mile after mile.
This hub-piloted setup centers precisely on the hub for consistent alignment and balance. It uses an 8 on 6-1/2 bolt pattern, a –0.51" offset, and a 4.76" pilot diameter. Flange nuts (sold separately) are required for installation, ensuring a tight, secure mount that stays true under load.
When you’re logging serious mileage, the ability to extend tread life matters. This tire includes tread depth bars for quick wear checks and is regroovable where regulations allow. Every unit is bake tested to make sure the rubber compound holds up over time, so you get the durability you expect from a heavy-duty radial assembly.
1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today I'm gonna take a look at the Taskmaster Provider 215/75R17.5 Radial Tire in a Load Range H, mounted on this 17 and a half inch silver solid center wheel with an offset and an eight on six and a half inch bolt pattern. Now this tire wheel assembly's ideal for heavy duty trucks and trailers. The heavy duty steel wheel with the solid center design is sturdy and corrosion resistant. The finish on it, it's a three step finishing process they use, which will include a zinc phosphate bath, then an eco primer, and then a nice silver powder coat on both sides of the wheel. Now this wheel here, it is a hub piloted wheel, which means it'll center on the hub.
It does require a close fit of the center pilot hole to the hub. The pilot hole diameter right here is 4.76 inches. Now, hub piloted wheels do require the use of flange nuts for installation. Those flange nuts, we do sell separate on our website and they're usually listed on this product page as related product. The flange nut size they use is five eights of an inch by 18.
Now, this wheel does also have a negative offset of 0.51 inches. Now, a negative offset is when the hub mounting surface right back here is behind the center line of the wheel. That negative offset, basically, the center line of the wheel is right here. So this mounting surface over on this side here will be behind the wheel center line and that means it's a negative offset. And negative offset moves the tire away from the center line of the trailer.
Now this is used as a radial tire on it. A radial tire is constructed with double steel belts and double polyester cords for nice long life. It is great for highway use. They do use a nylon tread firming belt overlay around the tire to help prevent tread separation. And the tire itself is baked tested to ensure that the rubber holds up over time.
Now this assembly is created specifically for heavy duty trucks and trailers. It's not intended for use on other vehicles. This assembly does meet the DOT, Department of Transportation specifications, and it will exceed your federal motor vehicle safety standard. A few dimensions on this, on the wheel itself. The diameter, 17 and a half inches. The width on just the wheel, six and three quarter inches. The bolt pattern on this wheel is an eight lug on six and a half inch bolt pattern. And if you wanna measure that, here's your eight holes. It's pretty easy, cause on a wheel that has an even number of lugs, like in this one, eight, the holes are right across from each other. So when you go to measure it, just pick any hole, measure from the center of that hole to the center of the hole right across from it. So on this it'll measure six and a half inches, so it's an eight plug, six and a half inch bolt pattern. Weight capacity on just the wheel is 6,005 pounds and the tire size is always stamped on the side wall. So right here you can see 215/75R17.5. The R means that it is a radial tire. The section width. So the section width right here on the tire is 8.3 inches. Overall diameter from the very bottom to the very top when it's inflated is 30.2 inches. This tire is a Load Range H which means it's a 16 ply rated tire, so it does have a maximum load capacity of 4,805 pounds at 123 psi. And then the last thing I do wanna mention, most all these tires do have a speed rating stamped on them, and the what you can tell is they stamp it on the side wall with a letter designation. So on this one right after the size we just went over, you'll see two numbers for the load index and then they stamp a letter M. Speed rating M will mean that this has an 81 mile per hour speed rating. But that should do it for the review on this Taskmaster Provider 215/75R17.5 Radial Tire in a Load Range H on this 17 and a half inch silver solid center wheel with an offset and an eight on six and a half inch bolt pattern..

Thank you and keep up the good work!
Tire and rim received in great condition. Jury will be out a while on the durability of the tire.
Good quality and fast shipping. Customer service was great.
Very nice quality and quick shipping. Convenient and fast service!
The tire came only 3 days after I ordered it & it was as advertised. It would have been nice if UPS WOULD have put their heavy stickers on the wrap that came from the factory. It took a lot to remove all of the stickers off the tire
We were having constant blow outs running 10 ply tires. Went this route couple years ago now and not one blow out yet. Best investment ever.
Used for spare trailer tires
Tire and rim are holding up very well. Will buy again when I need more
The tire and wheel is exactly as represented. I am very happy with order and was surprised at how fast it arrived.
An exact match for the wheels and tires on my Midsota trailer.
I haven't driven this tire yet, just bought it as a spare. It appears very well made, it came in excellent condition, not even scratches on the rim from transit. The price was right for buying as a spare. I feel a lot better about taking my trailer on long trips fully loaded having a spare, especially with how the roads are lately!
The rims are good but I'd definitely recommend buying Sailun trailer tires over these all day long so if you can buy just the rim itself and buy a Sailun tire it's definitely the best way to go even if you have to spend a little more money.
Great Service.
I had been getting the run around from everyone from the trailer dealer to the local wheel and tire stores. This tire and wheel was exactly a dead ringer replacement for my trailer. You guys are the best and I will tell friends and relations about your company. Thanks again .
Tire arrived perfect and in timely matter. This was an experiment as i was replacing very old 16.5 dually rims with 8.75-16.5 D rated tires on an equipment trailer with 10k axles and etrailer wasn’t sure it would work. After measuring, double checking it appeared this 17.5 rim and tire be a match, fit like a glove and used the same flange nuts. Be ordering 3 more tires soon.
I have owned these for a year. I got them because I was constantly running my trailer at capacity and experiencing blowouts on lesser tires and wheels. While upgrading to these wheels and tires was relatively expensive, and required new hubs also, I have not had a blowout since, so theoretically, this is going to save me money in the long run. I run a PJ gooseneck tandem axle with singles and I don't think that without these wheels and tires singles are a good idea - I would have to upgrade to duals. Then, I would be on the hook for commercial DL etc. Overall, great value with these for sure, in light of that.
Purchased to use as replacements on my wood chipper and we have been extremely pleased. Great looking rim and a smooth riding tire. I particularly appreciate that they can endure the abuse of hopping over curbs on a daily basis to access our worksites.
Very user-friendly site , great selection of products , and upon recieving my tire/wheel - - - NICE . To be used as a spare for a recently purchased trailer , and for the other units I already have - - - I'll be ordering again as well as telling others about you.
Out items were in stock as they always have been. Shipping was fast and delivery was on time. Have ordered many times from this company and never had a problem. The only complaint is that you can’t have an account anymore, so I’m not able to go back and see what orders I have placed in the past. That part annoys me. But it does not bother my husband as he doesn’t keep the records, he just wants to know when orders are coming in. LOL. Definitely recommend.
After one year of my purchase I am super happy and satisfied. I tow a pretty heavy load on my trailer almost every day and the tires look exactly the same after 1 year. Switching over to these wheels and tires was the best desicion no more blow outs, no more replacing tires every 3 to 4 months! You want to save money I recommend.
Great customer service and quality prod uct.
The customer service department went above and beyond expectations! They helped me through my emergency break down while on the road and with great communication and follow up I was on the road again.
Amazing customer service and quality. Above and beyond communication with my entire order process.
