This tire-and-wheel assembly comes with complimentary roadside assistance for 2 years. If your RV or trailer has a flat tire, call the help line and a technician will come change the flat for you. You can call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year from anywhere in the United States, Canada, or Puerto Rico.
This tire has a 1-year No Excuses Guarantee. If within the first 12 months the tire is damaged in any way that's not covered by warranty, it will be replaced at no charge. You will also be compensated a flat labor rate for the cost of mounting the replacement tire.
The NitroFill inflation process filters out oxygen to ensure that this tire-and-wheel assembly is filled with 95 to 99.9 percent pure nitrogen. Nitrogen-inflated tires maintain pressure better than tires inflated with standard air. This makes them ideal for RVs and trailers that are driven infrequently or sit in storage for long periods of time. Other benefits of consistent tire pressure are better fuel economy, improved braking and handling, decreased chance of tire failure, and longer tire life.
A tire inflated with standard air, which contains oxygen, is prone to fluctuations in pressure due to loss of air over time and ambient temperature changes. Nitrogen-inflated tires don't experience these fluctuations for a couple reasons. First, nitrogen molecules are larger than oxygen molecules, so they are less likely to permeate a rubber tire. Second, nitrogen is a dry gas, so it won't allow condensation to build inside the tire. A tire inflated with standard air may have moisture in it, which means it is more likely to be affected by ambient temperature.
In addition, the moisture that can collect in a tire inflated with standard air will contribute to corrosion of the wheel and deterioration of the rubber tire from the inside out. A nitrogen-inflated tire-and-wheel assembly is less likely to experience this type of decay. Less moisture in the tire also means reduced running temperatures.
If necessary, you can top off the tire with standard compressed air. But to maintain the benefits of nitrogen, the tire must be refilled with nitrogen.
The stud holes on this steel wheel are beveled to ensure that the wheel stays tight against your trailer hub. This also eliminates the need to constantly retorque the lug nuts.
Unlike standard trailer tire tread, which has solid, continuous ribs, the tread on these Tamarack radials has ribs with breaks. These breaks allow water to run off to the sides. The Tamarack tread also has sipes. Siping is a process in which thin grooves (or sipes) are cut into the rubber of the tire. The grooves channel water away from the tread so that the tire makes better contact with the road. Both of these features greatly improve traction during wet, snowy, or icy conditions.
Tamarack radials are constructed with double steel belts and double nylon cords. A protective layer of nylon is wrapped around the steel belts to help prevent tread separation.
Radial ply tires are designed for trailers that are towed on the highway. The cords on a radial tire are positioned at a 90-degree angle to the direction of travel so that they lay across the width of the tire from wheel lip to wheel lip. This construction prevents the cords from rubbing against one another when the tire flexes, unlike the cords on a bias ply tire. As a result, radial tires have less rolling resistance and heat buildup, which leads to a longer tread life and improved steering at higher speeds.
Determining the Bolt Pattern
The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.
To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)
On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)
Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

Today we're going to take a look at the Castlerock ST 205/75 R15 Radial trailer tire in a Load Range C on this 15 inch white modular steel wheel with the 5 on 4 1/2 inch bolt pattern. Now this tire and wheel assembly is ideal for RVs, campers and trailers. The wheel it's on is a sturdy steel wheel. Has the modular design, and when they say modular design that's the one that has the round holes all the way around the wheel. The wheels are white powder coat finish over an e-coat primer to help resist rust, and they do use the beveled stud holes to keep your wheel securely in place on the trailer hub. Eliminates the need for constant re- tightening of your lug nuts. Now the tire that's mounted on this wheel is a Castlerock radial tire. It is constructed with double steel belts, double nylon plys. Does use a nylon tread forming overlay to help prevent tread separation and they do use the tread wear indicators like you'll see on your passenger car tires where it gives you very easy ...
You can just look at the tread depth and see where the indicator is and it gives you an idea of how how your tire is wearing. This is a radial ply tire. It's great for highway use. Now if you'll notice on the valve stem they do have the green cap which indicated it is a nitrogen filled tire. This will help maintaining tire pressure longer than standard air, and it helps prolong the life of the tire and the wheel. On the tread itself they do use some siping which are the cuts in the tread. This will help channel water away from underneath the tire to improve traction during wet, snowy, or icy conditions. This is an ST tire, which means special trailer tire.
It has the sturdy sidewall so that it can handle heavy loads, and it is created specifically for trailers. Not intended for use on any other vehicles. This assembly does come with a complimentary roadside assistance for two years. They do offer the flat tire service available 24 hours, seven days a week, anywhere in the U.S., Canada, or Puerto Rico. The assembly does meet the DOT Department of Transportation specifications. The tire does meet the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard Specs and the wheel meets the SAE J-1204 Standards. Now if you do want a center cap we do sell those separately on our website. Few specs on this again, the rim diameter, which is always measured inside the inside or bead-seat to bead-seat is 15 inches.
The width on just the wheel is five inches wide. This wheel has a bolt pattern of 5 on 4 1/2 inches and if you ever want to measure that bolt pattern on a wheel it's an odd number of lugs, in this case five. You just pick any one of the holes like this one, and you'll measure across to either one of these holes, but when you measure it from the center of the starting hole to the furthest edge of the hole that you measured to.On this tire it will measure 4 1/2 inches so 5-lug 4 1/2 inch bolt pattern. Does use a wheel lug size of a 1/2 inch X 20. The weight capacity on just the wheel by itself is 1,870 pounds and the pilot hole diameter, which the large hole here in the center of the wheel goes over the hub on your trailer. It's 3.19 inches. Now the tire size, which will be stamped on the sidewall. ST for special trailer, 205/75 R15 the R designates it as a radial designed tire.Section width on this tire is eight inches.
Overall diameter from the bottom to the very top when it's inflated is 27.1. This tire is a Load Range C which means it's a six ply rated tire. So it has a maximum load capacity of 1,820 pounds at 50 PSI.The last thing I do want to mention is most all the new trailer tires are coming through with speed ratings now, and it's usually labeled by a letter designation. So if you look right on the sidewall here it will say Speed Rating L, and L will mean 75 miles per hour speed rating. But that should do it for the review on the Castlerock ST 205/75 R15 radial trailer tire in a Load Range C on this 15 inch white modular steel wheel with the 5 on 4 1/2 inch bolt pattern.
