If you’re regularly towing long distances or in hot conditions, this setup is built for steady performance. The Kenda Karrier ST225/75R15 radial tire carries a Load Range D rating with an 8-ply construction and a 2,540-lb maximum load at 65 psi. Its M speed rating means it’s cleared for up to 81 mph, and it meets DOT specifications for safe, confident highway travel mile after mile.
This tire uses radial ply construction with cords running at a 90-degree angle to the direction of travel. That design cuts rolling resistance and heat buildup while helping the tread last longer. The 5-rib pattern keeps wear even across the surface, giving a smoother ride and better handling on pavement or light off-road conditions.
The 15" diameter x 6" wide aluminum wheel is both durable and rustproof, ideal for long-term use in wet or humid environments. Its black and machined silver Sendel Series T09 styling is clear coated front and back for added protection. The wheel’s capacity is rated at 3,200 lbs, giving you strength that matches its looks.
The wheel’s centered offset (0) provides stable load distribution, while the 6 on 5-1/2 bolt pattern and 1/2"-20 wheel bolts ensure a solid fit on standard hubs. A 3.75" pilot diameter rounds out the spec, giving confidence that this setup can take the weight without compromise.
Durability is backed up by strong manufacturer support — the Kenda tire carries a 5-year warranty, and the aluminum wheel includes a limited 2-year warranty. It’s a well-matched combination of performance and peace of mind built to last through seasons of use.
1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this Kenda Karrier ST225/75R15 radial trailer tire in a load range D, and it's mounted on this 15 inch Sendel series T09 black machined aluminum trailer wheel with the 6 on 5 1/2 inch bolt pattern. Now this tire wheel assembly is ideal for boat trailers, utility trailers, and campers. The wheel is a durable corrosion-resistant Sendel series T09, which is a six bolt aluminum wheel. You can see it has a black finish on it and then a machine finish on the face and lip. The front and the back of the wheel are clear coated for excellent corrosion resistance.
A few dimensions on the wheel itself, the diameter of the wheel is 15 inches. The width on just the wheel six inches wide. The bolt pattern on it is a 6 on 5 1/2 inch bolt pattern. And if you want to measure the bolt pattern on this with a wheel that's an even number of lugs, like in this case, six, it's pretty easy because if you look at the lug holes, they're directly across from each other. So all you have to do is get a tape measure and measure from the center of, pick any hole, measure from the center of that hole directly across to the center of the hole right across from it.
On this, it'll measure 5 1/2 inches, so it's a 6 on 5 1/2 inch bolt pattern. Now if you notice, this wheel does not come with the center cap. If you do want a center cap, we do sell those separately on our website. You do wanna make sure to get a center cap that'll have the same diameter as the pilot hole here, 'cause when you install your center cap it'll go through this hole. The diameter on this pilot hole is 3.75 inches.
This does use a wheel lug size of 1/2 inch by 20, and the weight capacity on just the wheel is 3,200 pounds. Now the tire that's mounted on it, it is a Kenda Karrier special trailer radial tire. That special trailer tire design has double steel belts, full nylon plies to combine for superior function and long life. Does use a silica-infused tread. And if you look at the tread design, you can see the cuts that are on the blocks.
Those are called sipes and they reduce hydroplaning. This gives excellent handling in off-pavement situations. We mentioned it's a ST, which is a special trailer tire, has the sturdy sidewall so it can handle heavy loads and it is created specifically for trailers. It's not intended for use on other vehicles. The tire size, which will be stamped on the sidewall right here, you can see ST, for special trailer, 225/75R15, the R means that it is a radial tire. Section width on this tire, 8.6 inches. Overall diameter from the bottom to the top when it's inflated is 28.5. Load range on this is a D, which means it's an eight-ply rated tire. So it does have a maximum load capacity of 2,540 pounds at 65 PSI. And this assembly does meet the DOT, Department of Transportation, specifications. And the last thing I do wanna mention, it does come with a speed rating, which is stamped on the sidewall and it's stamped with a letter designation. And where you'll find that is right after the tire size, you'll see two numbers for the load index and then the letter M. Speed rating M will mean this has an 81 mile per hour speed rating. But that's gonna do it for a look at this Kenda Karrier ST225/75R15 radial trailer tire in a load range D mounted on this 15-inch Sendel series T09 black machined aluminum trailer wheel.

Ratings & Reviews
Delivery was fast and wheels were individually boxed in heavy shipping cartons. Rims and tires were perfectly mounted and were blemish free.
The styling and quality of the rims are outstanding, as are the 8 ply tires. Huge improvement in appearance and load handling over the galvanized rims and 6 ply tires.
The customer service at etrailer is the best I've experienced in a long time. You can buy from etrailer with confidence.
My tires and wheels arrived a couple days early, the quality appears to be very good. I’m excited to put them on the camper and try them out.
Lugs, tires and rims were great! Not to happy with center covers since center cap interfered with bearing buddy. I mentioned it after I recieved it but didn't get a response.
Awesome service as always! Thank you for the excellent communication and protection of tires during shipment. Appreciate the tracking and timeliness of the order from purchase to delivery. I will always use etrailer for my RV
