Hello, everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at the Dexter Tandem-Axle Trailer Hanger Kit for two inch wide slipper springs with 36 inch axle spacing. Now this leaf spring mounting kit is designed to attach four two inch wide slipper springs on trailers with tandem 3,500 pound up to 8,000 pound axles. Now, the slipper springs are not included. Those we do sell separate on our website. This part here is just the leaf spring hanger kit, and it includes everything that's shown on the table.
We're gonna go through all these pieces so just so you know what you're all getting, and we're gonna start with the hangers. We'll start with the front hangers, which are these two right here. These are 3 9/16 inch tall front hangers. And when we say the height of a hanger, when you measure it, it's not the bottom to the top. It's measured from the center of the bolt hole to the top of the hanger.
So if we get a ruler, and if we go center to the top, that'll give you 3 9/16 inch measurement for the front hangers. The center hangers, which are these right here, same way when we measure 'em, center to the top, 3 3/8 inches on the height of the center hangers, and the rear hangers right here, if we measure those, center to the top is 5 1/16 inches tall in the rear hangers. Now the equalizers, which are these two long equalizers right here in the middle, these are 13 1/8 inches long. And again, put a tape measure on that, 13 1/8 inches in the length, straight equalizers. Now, if you notice on the equalizers, these attach to the center hangers and it'll have a 7/8 inch diameter center hole here for mounting to the hanger using the wet bolts there.
On this set, it'll have 9/16 diameter end hole for attaching to the spring. And on right down here on the other end, a 5/16 diameter end hole for the spring keeper bolts for the slipper spring to sit on. Now the hardware, we mentioned it comes with the two wet equalizer bolts that are 7/8 inch diameter, 4 1/2 inches long, with the lock nuts and the cotter pins. These wet bolts can be greased, we call 'em wet bolts 'cause they have a grease circuit fitting that you can attach a grease gun to and lubricate 'em, and this is what'll attach the equalizers to the center hangers. The shackle bolts, there's six shackle bolts, four over here, two over here, with the lock nuts.
These are size 9/16 inch diameter by 3 1/2 inch long shackle bolts. And then the two spring keeper bolts, which are 5/16 inch diameter by 3 1/4 inch long, with lock nuts also. Now the equalizers, the 13 1/8 inch long equalizers allow for 36 inch axle spacing. Now this kit does not include any components for mounting your axle to the springs. But that should do it for the review on the Dexter Tandem-Axle Trailer Hanger Kit for two inch wide slipper springs with 36 inch axle spacing.

Well made, good weld beads, but some of the spring perches could have used more weld. I added more in myself and am satisfied with it now.

These hangers work great. I upgraded axles on a trailer, and needed these to complete the upgrade. Etrailer has always been a great vendor, and the first place I go for trailer parts.
