Today we're gonna take a look at the Lippert 1716 Fifth Wheel Pin Box. Has a 15,500 pound weight capacity. Now this pin box will serve as a direct replacement for your worn or damaged Lippert 1716 Pin Box on your fifth wheel trailer.The 1716 model is a long or extended design pin box, and the king pin on this pin box will connect to any fifth wheel trailer hitch. It's a durable steel construction, uses a rust resistant black powder coat finish. It is a bolt-on installation and it will attach to your trailer frame using your existing hardware. Again the weight capacity on this model is 15,500 pounds.Few specs to let you know how to determine if you have a Lippert 1716 model.
First of all, you wanna look at how many bolts are on each side. You'll notice there's six here and then three up here, so total of nine bolts on each side. The width of the pin box on a 1716 is gonna be right at 12 and a half inches. And then the last measurement would be from your front row of bolts, center, to the center of the king pin. And the measurement on that, I marked where the center of the king pin is, is right at 20 and three eights inches.

When I got it, there was like eight or nine scratches the bracket that hooks to your camper that hooks to the plate the lip that bends over was bent up so I had to use a hammer to knock it back down and a couple other places where it was looks like it’s been dropped It’s far from his heart, but it don’t look the best.
