Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today I'm gonna take a look at this Optronics 4-inch Round Dual-Face Amber Lens LED trailer light. Now this dual-face light will serve two functions, front and back parking and turn light, and it has a front-facing amber lens, and you can see a rear-facing amber lens. The lens itself is a polycarbonate lens, and it's over 42 white LEDs, 21 on each side. Now I have this hooked up to some 12-volt power, we're gonna turn on the power, and just to show you how bright those LEDs are, we'll go ahead and turn off the overhead lights, and you can see there's one side, spin it around, there's the other side, and even if we zoom out, you can see how bright it is. And again, we mentioned it offers two functions, a parking light like this, or a turn signal light.
You can see when you put on your turn signals, it's a lot brighter, and the back also gets brighter. Now this is great for farm equipment and agricultural applications. We mentioned they're LEDs, so they do make great replacements for your incandescent lights, 'cause they'll last 50 times longer. They're more efficient, 'cause they'll provide brighter light with less power output, and of course, no bulbs to replace, no brittle filaments to break, and they do offer a lifetime warranty on the LEDs. It is in a nice, durable steel housing.
It is compatible with 12-volt DC systems. You can see at the bottom, there is a post. It is a post-mount installation. Comes with the included nut and washer to tighten down to hold it into place. Now it is a hardwire application.
You can see there's three wires to wire in, and this light is DOT, Department of Transportation compliant. Few dimensions on this. They call it a four-inch round. The exact measurement is roughly about 4 1/8 inches. The depth is just under two inches, about 1 15/16 of an inch.
