When space is tight but visibility matters, this low-profile light bar fits the bill. At just 15" long x 1-3/8" tall x 5/8" thick, it mounts flush on flat surfaces without sticking out or getting in the way. The ultrathin design looks clean and still meets lighting requirements for trailers over 80" wide. With 3 red LEDs behind a clear lens, it delivers bright, even light that helps your trailer stand out on the road.
Water intrusion ruins lights fast, but this one’s built to handle it. The polycarbonate lens and housing are sonically sealed into a single waterproof unit that keeps moisture out completely. Whether it’s rain, spray, or full submersion at the boat ramp, the sealed design protects the diodes and circuitry so the light keeps working trip after trip.
No more swapping bulbs or chasing down bad filaments. The LEDs inside this ID light bar last up to 50 times longer than incandescent lights and use less power while producing a brighter output. At 12.8V, it draws only 0.038 amps—so you get dependable illumination without straining your electrical system. That’s performance you can count on mile after mile.
Installation couldn’t be easier. The light mounts directly to the surface using standard hardware (not included), with mounting holes spaced 14-1/8" apart. The 2-wire setup—one power lead and one ground—keeps wiring simple and clean. It’s DOT compliant and P2 rated, giving you the right light spread for proper identification lighting in a compact form.

Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Optronics ultra thin line LED identification light bar, part number MCL70RCB.Here's what our light looks like once we have it installed. We're gonna have three red LEDs. They're gonna put out a nice bright light, and it is gonna be a lot brighter than most incandescent lights. And this is gonna be a great replacement for incandescent lights 'cause we're not gonna have to worry about the bulbs inside to go out and no brittle filaments to break. Our light's gonna be a surface mount design, and it's gonna be sealed and have a waterproof housing and lens so we're not gonna have to worry about getting any kind of corrosion on the inside. Whenever our lights are off, it's gonna have a completely clear lens which is gonna blend in really nice if you have a white or a silver trailer. Our whole light is gonna be 15 inches long and one and three-eights inches tall, and it's only gonna be five-eights of an inch deep. And the mounting points from center to center are gonna be 14 and one-eights inches apart. Our light's gonna be great for trailers that are over 80 inches wide because it's gonna meet the DOT specifications.
With the overhead lights off, you can see how bright our lights are. They're only gonna be pulling .038 amps at 12 volts. To begin your installation, you're gonna want to pick a spot that you're gonna be mounting your bar. Now we already decided that we're gonna be mounting ours at the back of our trailer here and we already had several holes drilled for a previous installation and fortunately, a couple of ours do match up with our new light. So we're gonna take our two wires, we already have a hole in the middle here, we're gonna pass those wires through and then bring them back down so we have access to them. Our black wire's gonna be our power wire and that's gonna tap into wire that's already on our trailer. So I'm gonna trim back the excess wire here and I'll strip back the end of it. I'll take a butt connector, put it to the end of our strip wire.
I'm gonna take our black wire, put the other end of it into our butt connector and crimp it down.I'm gonna use a heat gun to shrink down my connector, but if you're using an open flame, you just want to be extra careful not to burn or char the wire or the connector itself. Then our white wire's gonna be our ground and we have a few different options of how we can mount it. You just want to make sure you go into metal. And since we're gonna have more here at the back, make sure I'm gonna pull my wire back out and you're gonna need to pick up a ring terminal. I'll strip back a little bit more of this wire. I'm actually gonna fold it over on itself so that ring terminal has plenty to grab onto.
Then I'll crimp it down. Then I'm gonna be attaching it directly behind the light here. So you want to grab a self tapping screw and get a hole started in the metal and then we can attach our ring terminal. We'll take our light. Make sure we tuck our wires behind. And you're gonna want to pick up some stainless steel hardware, pass it through the mounting holes, and we'll secure on the back with a lock washer and a nut.
Make sure our hardware's tight, and then we can test out our light. That'll finish up your look at the Optronics ultra thin line LED identification light bar with three red diodes and a clear lens, part number MCL70RCB.

Haven’t had this light long. Seems to be working well so far. Fit my 2019 Ranger Z185 boat perfectly. Very easy to install.
Appears to be an exact duplicate of the OEM light on my 2017 Ranger Trail trailer. Aligned perfectly. (Check your mounting hole measurement b4 ordering). Time will tell as to it's waterproofing, but for the cost... if I get 37 months out of it, it will have outlasted Ranger's OEM light that cost $xx+ to replace
Excellent LED light for trailer. My light had gotten cracked somehow and one of the diodes was dead. Water intrusion/crack did it.
Took a while but found the identical replacement. Same size, same number of diodes and same hole centers for mounting. Perfect.
Took a few days to arrive but it fits perfectly. The connector wires were identical to original.
The last one lasted 4 years. I’m sure it would have been longer had I not hit something when unloading/loading the boat.
Thanks to etrailer.com.
looks great just as described
What we need
Awesome product and timely delivery
Good, no issues so far
I was very satisfied with the product, it was exactly what we expected. It arrived sooner than we expected. I will surely order from you again
Product is awesome holding up well. Son and I are building another trailer will definitely buy these again.
I have not had this light very long, but it appears to be good quality. Should be a nice upgrade and only draws 50mA.
Rated only 4 stars since I have yet to see it's durability.
Very good. I will purchase more
It would have been nice to have instructions on the wiring.
I was trying to match one from an h&h aluminum trailer. nailed it
Had exactly what I needed with fast shipping and good price.
Great products
Just what I was looking for at a great price. When the light is off and with the clear lens, it blends in nicely against the already silver background. But once the power is applied it displays 3 really bright red lights that is very noticable from a great distance.
Item was ordered to replace a similar unit that failed on an enclosed utility trailer. It was a perfect fit so no modifications were needed - just had to connect the 2 wires.
