This 2-1/2" round light uses three amber LEDs that shine through a clear lens for a clean, bright output with very little power draw—just 0.06 amps at 12.8V. The LEDs last up to 50 times longer than incandescent bulbs and put out a consistent light without the heat or fragile filaments, so you get reliable illumination that stays bright night after night.
Wet roads, rain, or even full submersion won’t hurt this light. The polycarbonate housing and acrylic lens are sonically sealed into one waterproof unit that keeps water and dirt out of the circuit board. The solid-state LED design and surface-mount technology handle shock and vibration better than old-style bulbs, so it’s ready for hard use in all kinds of weather.
No need to splice or guess at wiring. The light uses an industry-standard PL-2 connection that accepts a 2-prong plug (A46PB or A86PB, sold separately). Power and ground connect directly through the plug, which also seals the unused terminal against moisture and debris. It’s a simple, neat setup that makes wiring dependable and easy to maintain.
When space is limited or you want a flush finish, this recessed-mount design fits neatly into your trailer surface using a grommet (A55GB, A56GB, or A57GB—sold separately). At just 2-1/2" in diameter and 1" deep, it stays low profile while giving off strong light from the front. That clean fit keeps it protected from snags while looking tidy and professional.
Safety on the road depends on meeting lighting standards. This P2-rated light provides a 45-degree beam to either side for a total of 90 degrees of coverage, perfect for use as either a clearance light or a side marker when installed correctly. It meets DOT and FMVSS 108 requirements in any 360-degree position, so you know it’s fully compliant wherever you mount it.

Taking a look at the dimensions real quick, then we'll hook it up to power. Overall diameter is 2-1/2". The overall depth of the lens area is 3/4 of an inch deep. We're gonna go ahead and hook it up to power.I have my 2-prong plug here. So it just plugs into the connection points around the back of the unit.
Presses in. Creates a nice tight fit. So you can see here that it sends out a nice, consistent signal. We have three LEDs with three diodes. So the multi-diode design really helps optimize the overall light output. Clear lens allows plenty of light to come through. Nice amber color. Power drill at 12.8 volts at 0.06 amps. And Optronics puts a lifetime warranty on the LEDs.And that's gonna do it for today's look at the Optronics LED amber clearance or side marker light.

I replaced the original amber bulb side marker lights with these etrailer LED multifunctional lights on my RV and they work great. The original lights didn't blink when marking turns and I wanted drivers to have a better indication when I wanted to change lanes. I had to do some minor rewiring, but I'm pleased with the outcome.

Had trouble tracking these specific lights down online. I have bought a few things from etrailer before and they always deliver exactly as advertised. These are a direct replacement for the lights that I had which seemed impossible to find!
The light works excellent. Unfortunately after I took the old one off I realized that the original was never wired up correctly from the factory lol. New light is much brighter so I might go ahead and replace the other two. Received very quickly.
