If you're replacing a worn spindle or building a custom axle, this straight spindle provides a secure mounting point for compatible hub and brake components. It's ideal for replacement or custom axle fabrication.
A worn or damaged spindle can prevent your hub and brake components from mounting correctly, affecting trailer performance and repairability. This straight spindle replaces the original spindle or provides the foundation for a custom trailer axle, restoring a secure mounting point for compatible hub and brake components.
Compatible with 3" diameter trailer axles (typical of 5,200-lb to 7,000-lb axles), this straight spindle is intended for weld-on installation during replacement or custom fabrication. Once installed, it provides the mounting point needed for compatible hub and brake components.

Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this Terran Industries straight spindle for your 5200 to 7,000 pound trailer axles. This straight spindle is going to be a weld-on replacement for trailer axles, as I mentioned, from 5,200 to 7,000 pounds. And this is going to be mainly for those who have a worn or a damaged spindle, and they want to repair the axle, or maybe for a fabricator building a custom trailer axle. So this spindle is going to give you that mounting point that you need for compatible hubs and brake components. One of the biggest things to verify before getting this is fitment.
The spindle's capacity does need to match your axle, obviously, but you also need to make sure that the bearing surfaces, gray seal area and weld-on portion match the rest of your trailer's components. Hub compatibility depends heavily on those measurements as well. So this is not a part that you want to choose based on axle capacity alone. The insulation is going to be important, because this is a weld-on spindle, and it does need to be installed straight and concentric with the axle. So if the alignment is off, that could possibly lead to tracking problems, uneven tire wear or bearing issues.
Because of that, spindle replacement is generally better suited for an experienced trailer or axle welder. And rather than just doing it yourself, if you're not. If you don't have any experience with that. Now this is going to be for a three-inch axle tube. And if you do need help with installation on this product page underneath the photo section, we have a link that will take you to our installer locator.
Click that link, answer the questions that it has for you, and that locator will find an installer in your area that etrailer has partnered with, to install this for you. Well, again, my name's Andy. Thank you for joining me.
