Hauling heavy gear puts real stress on your braking components. This 12-1/4" Dexter hub-and-rotor assembly is built for 7,000-lb axles and made from cast iron for solid strength and consistent performance. The one-piece design keeps contaminants out between the hub and rotor, so it runs true and stays smooth over time.
Long downhill grades or stop-and-go towing can build up heat fast. The vented rotor design in this assembly channels air through the rotor to control temperature and prevent fade or warping. That means steadier braking and longer rotor life even when loaded down or running extended distances.
No need to chase down extra parts before installation. This assembly comes complete with wheel studs, inner bearing (25580), outer bearing (14125A), races (25520 and 14276), oil seal (10-63), and oil cap already included. Everything fits together cleanly so setup is straightforward and reliable right out of the box.
Moisture, road grime, and salt can take a toll on metal parts fast. The E-coat finish on this hub-and-rotor adds a protective layer that resists corrosion and wear over time. It helps keep the cast iron surface intact so the part lasts longer through repeated use in wet or dirty conditions.
1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this Dexter 12-1/4 inch e-coat oil bath hub and rotor assembly with the 8 on 6-1/2 inch bolt pattern and the 9/16 inch diameter studs and this is for the 7,000 pound axles. Now, this is an oil bath and hub and rotor assembly that is again designed to work with the 7,000 pound Dexter disc brakes. We mentioned the rotor diameter is 12-1/4 inches, bolt pattern of 8 on 6-1/2 inches, and the bolt diameter of 9/16 of an inch. The machine process on this process will minimize run out and warping. The contaminants can't get in between the rotor and the hub 'cause it's all one piece.
The e-coat finish on it protects against corrosion and wear. And if you look on the side, it is a vented design and that's designed to regulate temperatures to prevent overheating. Now, this part will include everything laid out here on the table. We're gonna go through all the parts. First, it'll come with the hub and rotor oil bath assembly with the 9/16 standard wheel studs.
Now, the bearing races are already pre-installed, the outer bearing race right here and then the inner bearing race. Let me just turn this around. It's already pre-installed also. Now, it does come with the outer bearing, which is this one right here. And that's part number 141258.
The inner bearing, which will go in the back, that's included, that's part number 25580. Comes with the unitized oil seal that'll go in after the bearing's put in to help seal it and that's part number 10-63. The oil cap right here, that'll thread into the front here to cover the outer bearing, that's included. That's part number RGO4-230. And then, of course, comes with eight of the 9/16 by 18 lug nuts.
Those are part number 6-53. Those lug nuts are designed to hold your wheel and tire assembly to this hub. This is a cast iron construction providing strength and durability. It is made in the USA. Again, it fits axles with a 7,000 pound capacity. And the wheel size that'll fit on this is 16 inch, 16-1/2, and 17 inch size wheels. But that should do it for the review on this Dexter 12-1/4 inch e-coat oil bath hub and rotor assembly with the 8 on 6-1/2 inch bolt pattern and the 9/16 inch diameter studs for the 7,000 pound axles.
