This coupler features a simple-to-use latching mechanism known as the eZ-Latch. With this mechanism, hooking up is as easy as dropping the coupler over your trailer hitch ball. The latch does not need to be tugged or manually activated to allow the ball into the coupler socket, nor does it have to be secured in place. Just make sure that the coupler is properly lined up with the ball when you lower it, and the rest is automatic. Disengaging the coupler is just as effortless. Simply lift up the handle and the coupler socket will automatically release its grip on the ball.
The contoured, low-profile design of the latch handle helps protect the coupler from damage by allowing any potential hazards - from debris on the road to your ball mount backing into the coupler - to simply slide over the top. This helps prevent anything from getting under the latch handle and releasing the ball, and it can also limit any damage to the coupler should an impact occur.
Unlike most couplers, which have a pin hole through the handle latch, the eZ-Latch coupler features a hole through the side of the coupler itself. Inserting a coupler lock through this hole will keep the latch from lifting, preventing disconnect and theft.

Hi, everyone. Steven here with etrailer. Today we're taking a look at the Demco channel tongue trailer coupler. It comes pre-primed. It fits a 2 5/16 inch ball. It's a three-inch-wide channel bolt on application, rated at 21,000 pounds capacity.
So, folks, that should be more than enough to get the job done, right So again, this will let you hook up your trailer to the towed vehicle with ease. And if you've never seen these before, these easy latch, these are really, really nice. So I did pull a 2 5/16 inch ball just for demonstration purposes. Wanna make sure you can see that's the right size. Okay And the way these work is, you don't have to do this.
Nope, you don't have to do nothing. All you gotta do is let the coupler come down on top of the ball, (metal clacking) and it's gonna automatically do its thing. (metal clacking) And then of course, when it's time to unload, then and only then do you need to lift that up. So again, (metal clacking) it automatically does its thing. (metal clacking) Really nice, really neat.
This is pretty cool. So again, it lets you latch up with ease and lets you unlatch with ease as well. Very simple design. Again, fits a three-inch-wide channel tongue. The diameter of the lock pin hole here is going to be 5/16 inch, and you need a minimum of three-inch span inside of your lock for your pin lock when you're locking this.
Now it's a bolt-on application. As you can see, there is no hardware included. You need to get that sourced locally. And again, it has a nice prime finish that's gonna be resistant to rust and corrosion. And the latch here is a polymer nylon resin. So it's composite. It's gonna be super durable as well.
