Today were going to take a quick look at the Bulldog Collar Lock Coupler with high profile latch part number bd028382. Now Bulldog covers this coupler with a limited five year warranty. It has a gross trailer weight capacity of 5,000 pounds. Its a weld on design so youll fit it over the tongue of your trailer and weld along the edges. Its designed to work with three inch wide trailer tongues. Well take a measurement of our inside width here and we get our three inches.
Overall the coupler has the length of about 16 and a quarter inches. Its designed to work with two inch hitch balls. Next were going to show you how the mechanism itself works. Theres a securing pin here that youll need to remove in order to open the latch. The holes line up here and when the pins inserted it prevents the latch from coming up.
