Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at this Timken replacement trailer wheel bearing. This is a high quality 3984 tapered roller bearing that's gonna replace an inner bearing for the hubs that you see on the screen there. So if you have any of those this is gonna do a great job for you. This does use the industry standard number there. So you can see that 3984 is very clearly printed.
So if you are needing verification this is gonna work for you. If you see that same number on the bearings that you're or bearing that you're replacing, you can trust it's gonna be a very simple swap out for you. Another way to verify would be to match up with your races. So these, the races that are compatible are listed on the screen there. Those are not included and you can see those model numbers there.
And then another way to verify would be to measure your inner diameter here. That is a very precise measurement. So I'd recommend using some digital calipers that can go down to a thousandth of an inch. So you can see our diameter. we're sitting right at 2.625 inches.
So again, it's gonna be much easier if you can find that industry standard number on the bearing that you're replacing. But if not, we have a couple other options there. This is gonna be a very high quality bearing. This is a Timkin product.
