Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at this Hydrastar disc brake kit with actuator for your single axle trailers. Now more and more people are switching their trailers over to disc brakes because unlike drum brakes, disc brakes deliver consistent braking even at highway speeds. Disc brakes also offer a substantially shorter stopping distance and disc brake calipers only have one moving part. So there are gonna be fewer parts to maintain, fewer parts to get damaged, and fewer parts to have to repair or replace. Now this kit is designed for your 6,000 pound single axle trailer and we have a six on 5 1/2 inch bolt pattern.

And the diameter of these rotors are 12 inches. And this kit includes everything that you see here laid out on my table before me. You're going to receive two Dacromet-coated disc brake end kits for one axle. These hub and rotor assemblies have the half inch in diameter wheel studs. And they also have the races pre-installed in them.

And then these also will include the inner and outer bearings along with the grease seals. And on your screen I am including the details of the races and the bearings and the grease seal for your easy reference there. And the stainless steel calipers with the brake pads. Let me turn this around just so you can see the the brake pads there. And these also have the installation bolts as well as you can see here.

And then the caliper mounting bracket that I have the calipers mounted onto. And this is designed to attach to a five-bolt brake flange. And these hub and rotors and the caliper mounting brackets all have a Dacromet coating which is corrosion resistant. And then the calipers are stainless steel. So this kit is going to be ideal for trailers that are around water quite a bit, such as your boat trailer.

And this also includes a Hydrastar electric-over-hydraulic brake actuator. That's going to activate your trailer brakes when you apply the brakes in your tow vehicle, triggering the pump and motor on the actuator. This will install on your trailer frame and connect to your trailer's wiring. And this is also going to give you that smooth, even braking with that fast response time. And this is going to work with most in-cab brake controllers. And of course, brake controller is sold separately from this kit. This also includes the solid brake lines and then the flexible lines here that you see on the other side of my table. And the fittings that you're going to need for a single axle trailer are included. And we list on this product page all the details of these parts that you see here in case you're needing a little bit more information than what I'm providing for you during our time together here.
