When you need to load a tall toolbox, furniture, or building supplies, you don’t have to remove this cover. The BAKFlip G2 folds all the way up and stays upright using built-in prop rods, letting you drive with the bed completely open. You can also secure it partway open with integrated buckles if you want rear-window visibility. The low-profile rails sit inside the bed, so you still have full use of stake-pocket mounts and side-rail accessories.
Each aluminum panel latches automatically as you close it, locking in place under its own weight. Once the tailgate is shut and locked, the bed is sealed—no one can lift or pry the cover open. The 1/2-inch-thick, rustproof panels are sturdy enough to stop anyone from cutting or peeling them up, giving you dependable protection for tools, gear, or groceries.
Rain and car-wash spray don’t stand a chance against the G2’s matte black rubber seals and built-in gutter system. Any water that gets past the edges runs through the rail channels and out via drain hoses behind the cab. The corrosion-resistant black finish and UV-stable coating keep the panels looking sharp after years in the sun.
Built from rustproof aluminum with an insulated core, the panels hold up to 300 lbs of evenly distributed weight when closed. The frame rails are aircraft-grade aluminum with a black powder-coat finish for added strength and corrosion resistance. The hinges and latches are glass-filled, aluminum-housed nylon for smooth, long-term operation.
You don’t need to drill or modify anything to install this cover. The side rails clamp directly to the bed rails, and the front hinge rail bolts in place with included hardware. Slotted brackets let you fine-tune the fit with a wrench so the panels sit flush and operate smoothly right out of the box.

After using it for a while Im extremely happy with this cover. It has been a game changer, making my 2008 Ford Ranger bed far more useable and convenient for carrying a variety of items. One of the best purchases Ive ever made for it.

After a year of use the cover still works perfectly and I would highly recommend this cover. I really like the fact that you can open up different sections without having to open the whole thing.

Hi Mardy. I have heard this to be a difficult install and the latches to be stiff (though adjusting them helps), but noisy, flimsy, and poor quality are firsts for a BAK product like this. What kind of noise are you getting? Is something maybe not tightened down all the way causing part to stick up? And, what part are you finding flimsy or poor quality?

After year of use I love the tonneau cover. had issues installing but after using for a year I would give it a five star.

Actually its closer to two years and I could not be more pleased. I have done a few rainy road trips and the one thing that worried me was if it would keep the contents dry and it did. Al else about the cover has been good too. Good product and it fit like a glove.

Generally this cover continues to perform well. There is a small leak, which I haven’t been able to locate, but it’s not enough to do any harm to whatever may be in the bed. I would still recommend this cover.
