Whether you're hauling heavy loads in your bed or cargo area or you're towing a trailer, you will often see the rear of your vehicle sag while the front end rises. In these cases, the rear axle is handling not only the weight of the cargo, but also more of the vehicle's weight. Because less weight is on the front axle, the front tires are making less contact with the road. Overall handling - traction, steering, and braking - is negatively affected. But the resistance from Timbren's Suspension Enhancement System works with your factory suspension to keep your vehicle level and improve your driving experience.
The Timbren system comes with custom-fit brackets that are bolted onto each frame rail above the rear axle. Hollow rubber springs are bolted to the bottom of the bracket and hang down to where the bottom of the spring sits, 1" above the axle. The inch of clearance allows the existing factory suspension to operate normally under light loads and standard terrain, ensuring the smooth, comfortable ride that you are used to.
Timbren Suspension Enhancement Systems are designed to work progressively. When the hollow rubber springs are compressed, the convoluted design causes them to quickly collapse along the folds. Once the folds are compacted, the stacked barrel shape increases resistance, stiffening the suspension and keeping your vehicle level.
Each hollow rubber spring works independently to support the driver's side or passenger's side of your vehicle. This is helpful when you swerve or make sharp turns. Each spring is activated when it is needed, so body roll is greatly reduced. The independent action also works well when you are hauling off-center loads.
Because the vehicle handles better with the springs, less turbulence will be passed along to the trailer, and this helps to keep the trailer in line. Your driving comfort is further enhanced if the trailer does begin to sway (from a gust of wind or a passing semi), because the movement from the trailer is not transferred to your vehicle. This also works to make the sway subside more quickly.
Another great feature of the rubber construction is that the springs absorb most of the road shock, creating a smoother, more stable ride overall when loaded. Wear and tear on the factory suspension is also lessened because the rubber springs work to prevent bottoming out on rough roads.
Timbren's Suspension Enhancement Systems are much easier to install than air springs - there are no air hoses to run, no compressors or gauges to hook up, and no manual adjustments to make. The rubber construction makes Timbren's springs more elastic than similar products constructed of microcellular urethane. And more elasticity allows for a more comfortable ride when loaded or towing because the rubber has more travel.

Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this Timbren rear suspension enhancement system. Now, this is a custom fit part. It is designed to fit the 2007 to 2008 Sterling SC7000 or SC8000 trucks that have the TUFTRAC rear axle. And it also fits the 2016 and newer Ford F-650 and F-750 trucks.
And on a custom fit part like this, I do like to recommend for you to go to our website, use the fit guide, put in your year and model vehicle, and it'll show if this will work for your application. Now, this kit here will help improve suspension, the handling and safety on your vehicle. It will provide additional support as needed, so you always have a nice, smooth, comfortable ride. And it'll allow the leaf spring ample movement while cushioning any light loads. And it does not affect the empty ride of the vehicle.
What's nice about these springs is they do become more rigid as more weight is added. It increases the stability, provides great performance while hauling heavy loads, and it'll even help reduce vehicle sag. These will work independently side to side, help compensate for any off center loads, and it'll reduce body roll when swerving and turning corners. They do act as shock absorbers, taking the brunt of any bumps and rough roads. They do extend the life of your vehicle's suspension.
Now, this kit will include everything I laid out here on the table. It includes these four Aeon hollow rubber springs, the four vehicle mounting brackets, all the hardware you need for installation, and even a set of instructions that'll describe how these install. Now, these do install directly onto the frame. They do replace your axle bump stops on the frame. And drilling is required for installation.
Capacity on this kit is 17,200 pounds. Now, Timbren springs will not increase your vehicle's weight carrying capacity. So, you still wanna make sure not to exceed the manufacturer's recommended weight limit. And again, these are designed to work with a suspension system that is in good working order. Product does not help rear swag with fifth wheel camper but a half inch. On brand new truck as well. Not happy with product. Called to return them and want me to pay 27.00 shipping and stated in email that was sent to me I couldn’t return if installed. I’m not understanding this ? Do not buy ! I won’t be doing any more business with etrailer . Not helpful at all
Just installed on 2008 Hyundai Entorouge seems to work well. Only problem was that I had buy new hardware because the supplied hardware was standard not metric.
Works like expected. Keeps the truck looking level even under heavy loads.

Just what my truck needed to stop the sag when I hook up to my 5th wheel.
Sorry to report that the Timbren package arrived in original box that looked as though it had been ripped open and the carefully taped shut with clear packing tape. I thought at first that shipper had damaged it but all parts were there so I started install. Half way thru I discovered two of the lock nuts were stripped and threads on the right axle pad were burred at the start. We live 14 miles round trip from the closest ace hardware. I used a die to repair the axle pad threads but had to stop for the day to purchase new lock nuts. Feel like I got a used set for new price.
