You're swapping out your RV's AC and need the rest of the system to match. This installation kit from GE Appliances gives you the air distribution box, wall thermostat, and control board you'll need to complete a ductless setup.
It's recommended to mount the thermostat between 4' and 5' above the floor. Do not mount it on an outside wall, in direct sunlight, behind a door, or near a vent.

Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at this GE Appliances Ductless Upgrade Kit for your GE RV air conditioners. Now this is designed to modernize or replace outdated components in your RV's air conditioning ductless system, particularly if you're upgrading to or you're already using a GE rooftop air conditioner. This will fit rooftop openings that are 14-3/8 inches by 14-3/8 inches, and this does include everything that you see here on my table before me. You're gonna obviously get this air distribution box.
This is the interior unit that's going to distribute the cooled air into your RV, and an upgraded air distribution box often gives you better airflow, quieter operation, and more efficient cooling. This is built to handle road vibrations and everyday RV life, and just looking at some measurements, the overall width and the length is gonna be 21 inches, and when you have this installed in your ceiling, this is going to stick down about 2 to 2-1/2 inches. It includes the bolts to install your air conditioner unit and your air distribution box, and then this also comes with this black thermostat, this is a single-zone thermostat, and it does have these easy-to-use buttons, and it has a large backlit display, and it is recommended to mount this thermostat between four to five feet above the floor, and, of course, you don't wanna mount this to an outside wall, in direct sunlight, behind a door or near a vent or duct. It does include hardware to get this installed on your wall, and you're gonna get the air divider there that's gonna go in your air distribution box. And then this fireproof control box is probably, as you know, the brains of the operation.
This is going to manage how your AC unit operates. Looking at some measurements of this as well if you're interested, 7-1/2 inches long, 6-7/8 inches wide, and 2-3/8 inches thick. So, again, everything that you see here is gonna be included. This is designed for your ductless systems in your RV or camper. Now, if you're also needing an air conditioner and you don't already have a GE RV air conditioner, we do have complete systems that are available that'll include all of these components plus an air conditioner, so you can find those options from GE here at etrailer.com and find whichever system is going to work best for you.
Well, that's gonna wrap up our quick look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
