Nothing improves confidence behind the wheel like a solid, planted feel through corners and lane changes. This 1" diameter 4140 chromoly steel bar ties the rear of the vehicle together, minimizing side-to-side movement so it stays level and predictable. With 3 adjustment holes, you can fine-tune stiffness to match your setup and driving style.
Long stretches of highway or gusty conditions don’t have to wear you out. By cutting down body roll and sway, this bar helps keep the vehicle steady through crosswinds, around passing semis, and over uneven roads. You make fewer steering corrections, so you finish the day more relaxed and in control.
This isn’t a light-duty setup. The solid 1" bar is made from 4140 chromoly steel for superior strength and finished in a silver vein hammer-tone powder coat that resists corrosion. Mounting brackets get a black powder-coat finish for added protection. Polyurethane bushings replace standard rubber, holding up against oil, gasoline, and ozone so they won’t squish or wear out quickly.
You don’t need to modify anything to bolt this in. The bar mounts up with the included zinc-plated hardware, and the kit comes with bushing lubricant and clear instructions. It’s a clean, no-drill install that gets you back on the road with a noticeable improvement in stability right away.

Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at this Hellwig Adjustable Rear Anti-Sway Bar. Now this rear anti-sway bar is designed specifically to fit your 2021 to 2023 Ford F-150. And on custom fit parts such as this bar, I do recommend taking advantage of our vehicle fit guide. Just insert the year, make and model of your vehicle and our fit guide will confirm if this will work for you or if we have something comparable that will work for you.
Now this bar is going to help minimize side-to-side movement, improving the overall stability of your F-150. This system is going to let you execute turns, and quick maneuvers with confidence, giving you a level ride even on irregular surfaces. This is going to help reduce driver fatigue by minimizing the effort required to keep your truck in line. And it's also going to help diminish the effects of cross winds, passing motorists, and shifting cargo. This anti-sway bar does for side-to-side movement, what a good pair of shocks does for up and down motion, giving you a marked improvement in the stability of your truck.
And as soon as you have this installed, you will feel the benefits of having this installed on your F-150. Hopefully you can see here along the sides, we do have these three adjustment holes on either side. Those holes are gonna let you choose the degree of stiffness. The holes closest to the bar are the stiffest setting, and the holes that are furthest from the bar are the softest setting. So you have that range of adjustability with this bar, and you can find just the perfect, the perfect application that you're looking for in regards to that adjustability.
Now the bushings are made of polyurethane instead of the standard rubber variety giving you a longer lasting system. They are going to be durable, resistant to damage caused by oil, gasoline and ozone. So less wear means less given the system, and better overall support. Now the diameter of this bar is one inch. It is made here in the USA of solid heat treated Chromoly steel.
And I'm gonna give you a closeup view overhead just so you have a better look at this finish. This bar features a silver vein hammer tone finish, which not only provides protection from corrosion, but the finish actually has little divots in it. So when you grease your polyurethane bushings, and slide slide them on the bar, this finish is actually going to do a great job of holding that grease in the bushing to prevent them from squeaking. Now this does include everything that you see here on my table before me. You are going to get a set of instructions to guide you through the installation process. The mounting hardware is zinc plated to prevent corrosion, resist corrosion. The end links and the brackets have been finished with the black powder coat. You are gonna get some bushing lubricant, some fiber tight, and virtually everything that you're going to need to successfully install this. This does have a limited lifetime warranty from Hellwig, and I think that's gonna wrap up our look today. I do hope that our time together has been helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. This is a heavy duty sway bar. The installation was straight forward and simple.
I used the middle adjustment hole as I wanted to tow an RV. I took it on an initial test drive. This unit completely got rid of the body roll. Well please and know that a little hint, wear gloves when apply the lubricant as that is gooey!
Easy installation
Haven’t towed with it yet so not sure how much it will help the sway with a 31ft travel trailer.

For the second time in a row ordering from etrailer, either parts were missing from my order or shipping was a problem. The sway bar works fine, once I got the right parts to install it.
Upon receiving the box which came on time, I took all the pieces out to make sure I got everything I needed. Two 7/16-20 21/4 inch bolts were missing. I called Hellwig customer support and they promptly sent the replacements. The bolts were not packed with the rest of the installation materials. I also want to say that the top of the box was torn open. Many of the heavy staples had come out. The box inside was torn open and a couple of pieces had slipped out. Also someone trampled over the box because there were boot marks all around the box. Very poor quality in delivery service even though it came on time. Important parts could have fallen out and delayed installation. Not very good delivery service.
When lifting a jeep, body roll, increases due to the mechanical advantage of the chassis over the factory sway bars. This larger and adjustable sway bar helps correct that issue and allows for fine-tuning to driver preference.
Application was a 2015 Tacoma.
Install was easy enough. For others that may read this, it would be wise your spare tire to make certain there is no interference with the sway bar.
I have a 33" spare tire, I had to make new adjustments after I tried to put spare tire back up. Infact, May be wise if you have room to leave the spare tire in and work accordingly.
The install is new, sediments are a bit subjective as to difference. But driving while unloaded I get a bit surprised that the Tacoma tracked really well around a curve. Folks at E- Trailer were great.
I really like the fitment and performance of the product. I have installed a Hellwig anti-sway bar on my last 3 trucks and always feel an improvement the way the truck handles cornering and when pulling a load, especially when there is a cross wind.
Installed on 2023 F-150 and wow what a difference. Better handling a less body roll.

The sway bar itself is a '5'on my 2025 F150, but the install instructions are all over the place (a '3'). It took me about 5 hours to finish installing it, between the youtube videos and the instructions. I'm sure it would be faster if I did another.
The issue I ran into was some part placement on the axle to work around the brake lines and the best process to level it. Leveling was in the videos, but not in the written directions. Also - when you torque down on the bushings to spec, it squeezes them a bit more that looks "kosher". Some better guidance on that would help.
In all - I did notice an improvement on cornering with/without a load and feel it is a benefit.

Nice product However the instructions are terrible! The written instructions have been copied so many times they are basically unusable. The accompanying video left out many important details causing a much longer instal time than necessary. We had to uninstall more than once do to correct the incomplete installation video.
Solid, sturdy and well built anti-sway bar. I installed it on my 2024 Ford F150 without removing the spare tire and the install went fairly easy. It did take some time as I was.doing it myself. An extra set of hands would make it a bit easier. Love how solid my truck feels and drives now.
