Nothing tightens up the feel of your rig like dialing in the right stiffness out back. This adjustable rear anti-sway bar uses a solid 1" diameter 4140 chromoly steel bar with three adjustment holes so you can choose how firm you want it. It ties the rear axle to the chassis in a way that cuts down side-to-side movement and body roll, especially when cornering or dealing with shifting weight. The result is sharper handling and a more confident ride.
Long highway runs or gusty conditions don’t have to mean fighting the wheel. By minimizing sway, this bar helps keep your vehicle level through crosswinds, passing semis, and uneven roads. The reduced side-to-side motion means you’re not constantly correcting your steering, so the drive feels calmer and more controlled.
Built from thick 4140 chromoly steel, the bar is made to handle serious stress without flexing. Polyurethane bushings replace standard rubber ones, standing up to oil, gasoline, and ozone so they last longer and keep their shape. Less give in the bushings means better, more consistent support every mile.
You don’t have to modify anything to get it installed. The bar mounts up using the included zinc-plated hardware, complete with lubricant for the bushings. The bar wears a corrosion-resistant silver vein hammer-tone powder coat, while the brackets get a black powder coat for added durability and a clean finish. Once it’s bolted on, you’ll notice the difference right away in how solid and balanced the rear feels.

Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look together at this Hellwig adjustable rear anti-sway bar. Now, this anti-sway bar has been designed specifically to fit your 2021 to 2023 Ford F-150 that have been lifted two to four inches. And on custom fit parts such as this sway bar, I do recommend taking advantage of our vehicle fit guide. Simply input the year, make, and model of your vehicle and our fit guide will confirm if this will work for you or if we have something comparable that will work for you. Now this sway bar is going to help minimize side to side movement, improving the overall stability of your truck.
This system will let you execute turns and quick maneuvers with confidence, giving you a level ride even on irregular surfaces. It's also going to help reduce driver fatigue by minimizing the effort required to keep your F-150 in line. And it's also gonna help diminish the effects of crosswinds, passing motorists, and shifting cargo. This anti-sway bar does for side to side movement what a good pair of shocks does for up and down motion, giving you a marked improvement in the overall stability of your truck. Now hopefully you can see here along the sides, we do have three adjustment holes on either side, they're gonna allow you to choose the degree of stiffness that's gonna work best for you.
The holes that are closest to the bar is going to be the stiffest setting, and then the holes that are farthest from the bar is the softest setting. So you do have that range of adjustability. These bushings are made of polyurethane instead of the standard rubber variety, giving you a longer lasting system. They're durable, they're resistant to damage caused by oil and gasoline and ozone. So less wear means less give in the system and better overall support.
Now the diameter of this bar is one and three eighths inches. It is made here in the USA of solid heat treated chromoly steel, giving you that superior strength. And I would like to zoom in overhead just to give you a good view of this finish. This bar features a silver vein hammer tone finish, which not only gives you protection from corrosion, but the finish actually has little divots in it. So when you grease your polyurethane bushings and slide them over the bar, this finish is gonna do a great job of holding that grease in your bushing.
Now these do include, or this bar rather does include a great set of instructions with photos to guide you through the installation process. The mounting hardware is zinc plated and the end lengths and the brackets have been finished in a black powder coat. You're gonna get some bushing lubricant along with some fiber type. The sway bar itself is a '5'on my 2025 F150, but the install instructions are all over the place (a '3'). It took me about 5 hours to finish installing it, between the youtube videos and the instructions. I'm sure it would be faster if I did another.
The issue I ran into was some part placement on the axle to work around the brake lines and the best process to level it. Leveling was in the videos, but not in the written directions. Also - when you torque down on the bushings to spec, it squeezes them a bit more that looks "kosher". Some better guidance on that would help.
In all - I did notice an improvement on cornering with/without a load and feel it is a benefit.

It's an amazing improvement over the stock sway bar. I don't see any need to use the outer attachment point. It gives you plenty of bar at the lower setting. The mounting hardware and bushings are much better than the stock attachment bracket and bushings. The truck stays flat in a curve. Bottom line: Just buy it!
Easy install and definitely stiffer cornering. Can't wait to try with trailer.
Easy installation on Ram 1500 classic 2wd. Took about 1.5 hrs including the test drive. Didn't have to jack the truck up, just crawled under and bolted it in.

Nice product However the instructions are terrible! The written instructions have been copied so many times they are basically unusable. The accompanying video left out many important details causing a much longer instal time than necessary. We had to uninstall more than once do to correct the incomplete installation video.
I haven't installed this kit yet, but the quality looks very decent and quality. The kit is complete. The only issue is that I have an 8.8 axle, but the brackets are for a 9.75, however, I think that if I tighten everything down correctly, it should install just fine. Thanks.
I only recently learned my 2023 1500 ram, which includes the tow package, uses a hollow sway bar. Disappointed in Ram.
Using the outer most setting made a significant difference over the original equipment. In fact the difference is so noticeable I’m going to fireplace the front sway bar as well.
I put a really heavy truck camper on my 2017 ram 2500 6.7 hemi and it took turns ok but it would rock side to side a couple times over bumps and uneven roads. I wasn't sure if this would make a difference because the factory one looked pretty big but it made a huge difference. This and airbags are a must for heavy loads.
I also go it a day sooner then I thought.

Solid, sturdy and well built anti-sway bar. I installed it on my 2024 Ford F150 without removing the spare tire and the install went fairly easy. It did take some time as I was.doing it myself. An extra set of hands would make it a bit easier. Love how solid my truck feels and drives now.
I installed the 1 inch adjustable anti-sway bar on my 2026 ram rebel and it works great. Even though I only put it on the least aggressive setting, the truck handle so much better through the turns now that it did before. I will test it to a 7000 pound trailer in the next couple weeks. . This is a heavy duty sway bar. The installation was straight forward and simple.
I used the middle adjustment hole as I wanted to tow an RV. I took it on an initial test drive. This unit completely got rid of the body roll. Well please and know that a little hint, wear gloves when apply the lubricant as that is gooey!
Easy installation
Haven’t towed with it yet so not sure how much it will help the sway with a 31ft travel trailer.

For the second time in a row ordering from etrailer, either parts were missing from my order or shipping was a problem. The sway bar works fine, once I got the right parts to install it.
When lifting a jeep, body roll, increases due to the mechanical advantage of the chassis over the factory sway bars. This larger and adjustable sway bar helps correct that issue and allows for fine-tuning to driver preference.
Application was a 2015 Tacoma.
Install was easy enough. For others that may read this, it would be wise your spare tire to make certain there is no interference with the sway bar.
I have a 33" spare tire, I had to make new adjustments after I tried to put spare tire back up. Infact, May be wise if you have room to leave the spare tire in and work accordingly.
The install is new, sediments are a bit subjective as to difference. But driving while unloaded I get a bit surprised that the Tacoma tracked really well around a curve. Folks at E- Trailer were great.
I really like the fitment and performance of the product. I have installed a Hellwig anti-sway bar on my last 3 trucks and always feel an improvement the way the truck handles cornering and when pulling a load, especially when there is a cross wind.

I have a 2024 F150 Super crew 4x4. Adding this anti-sway bar has made a huge improvement on the cornering and handling on this truck. I was ok with the ride on the F150 when I first got the truck but the body lean seemed excessive. There is a fair amount of body roll when you are cornering in this truck. Adding the Hellwig Rear adjustable Anti-sway bar makes cornering in this truck like a nice handling car. I can't wait to run with my 24' enclosed trailer and see the difference in the handling on that setup. I highly recommend this.
Upon receiving the box which came on time, I took all the pieces out to make sure I got everything I needed. Two 7/16-20 21/4 inch bolts were missing. I called Hellwig customer support and they promptly sent the replacements. The bolts were not packed with the rest of the installation materials. I also want to say that the top of the box was torn open. Many of the heavy staples had come out. The box inside was torn open and a couple of pieces had slipped out. Also someone trampled over the box because there were boot marks all around the box. Very poor quality in delivery service even though it came on time. Important parts could have fallen out and delayed installation. Not very good delivery service.
