Video Transcript for In-Depth Review of the Hellwig Rear Adjustable Anti-Sway Bar

Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look together at this Hellwig adjustable rear anti-sway bar. Now, this anti-sway bar has been designed specifically to fit your 2021 to 2023 Ford F-150 that have been lifted two to four inches. And on custom fit parts such as this sway bar, I do recommend taking advantage of our vehicle fit guide. Simply input the year, make, and model of your vehicle and our fit guide will confirm if this will work for you or if we have something comparable that will work for you. Now this sway bar is going to help minimize side to side movement, improving the overall stability of your truck.

This system will let you execute turns and quick maneuvers with confidence, giving you a level ride even on irregular surfaces. It's also going to help reduce driver fatigue by minimizing the effort required to keep your F-150 in line. And it's also gonna help diminish the effects of crosswinds, passing motorists, and shifting cargo. This anti-sway bar does for side to side movement what a good pair of shocks does for up and down motion, giving you a marked improvement in the overall stability of your truck. Now hopefully you can see here along the sides, we do have three adjustment holes on either side, they're gonna allow you to choose the degree of stiffness that's gonna work best for you.

The holes that are closest to the bar is going to be the stiffest setting, and then the holes that are farthest from the bar is the softest setting. So you do have that range of adjustability. These bushings are made of polyurethane instead of the standard rubber variety, giving you a longer lasting system. They're durable, they're resistant to damage caused by oil and gasoline and ozone. So less wear means less give in the system and better overall support.

Now the diameter of this bar is one and three eighths inches. It is made here in the USA of solid heat treated chromoly steel, giving you that superior strength. And I would like to zoom in overhead just to give you a good view of this finish. This bar features a silver vein hammer tone finish, which not only gives you protection from corrosion, but the finish actually has little divots in it. So when you grease your polyurethane bushings and slide them over the bar, this finish is gonna do a great job of holding that grease in your bushing.

Now these do include, or this bar rather does include a great set of instructions with photos to guide you through the installation process. The mounting hardware is zinc plated and the end lengths and the brackets have been finished in a black powder coat. You're gonna get some bushing lubricant along with some fiber type.
