Features to know about

Stay Level and Confident Under Heavy Loads: 5,000-lb Load-Leveling Support

When you’re hauling serious weight, rear-end sag can throw off handling and braking. The Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs add up to 5,000 lbs of load-leveling capacity, working between the frame and rear suspension to keep your vehicle level and stable. By keeping the back end from squatting, steering stays sharper, braking more predictable, and headlight aim correct. It’s real support you can feel every time you hook up a camper, trailer, or load the bed full of gear.

Smooth Out the Ride: Single-Convoluted Air Spring Design

Heavy loads don’t have to mean a rough ride. These single-convoluted rubber air springs use up to 100 psi of air pressure to absorb road shock and soften contact between axle and frame. That means fewer jolts over potholes and less bottoming out when the weight piles on. Each bag’s four layers of reinforced rubber and corrosion-resistant metal end plates deliver cushioning that keeps your suspension working smoothly under tough conditions.

Dial In the Support You Need: Adjustable from 5 psi to 100 psi

Every haul is different, so being able to fine-tune support matters. With manual inflation valves for each side, you can adjust air pressure from 5 psi up to 100 psi—whether you need both sides even or one side stiffer for an off-center load. It’s an easy way to match your ride height and firmness to what you’re carrying so things stay balanced and comfortable mile after mile.

Built Strong for the Long Haul: Durable Hardware Included

Each kit comes with air springs, brackets, hardware, air line tubing, and separate valves for manual inflation. The rolled crimp seal keeps each spring securely anchored, while corrosion-resistant parts stand up to weather and wear. The result is a suspension upgrade built for consistent performance and long-term reliability without adding strain or permanent sag to your existing suspension.

2017 Ford Raptor, Great Kit. There was light grinding to get the bracket to slide onto the frame. Besides that, install was a breeze. My little cousin did most of the work!

Product arrived very quickly, the next day. That was awesome. I installed it that same day late afternoon and night. The product works great. Makes the Van (2009 passenger van 1500 ) feel way more stable and lifts the vans back side up enough to keep it dragging down the road. I haul a trailer full of sound equipment and about 6 band members down the highway every weekend. It was very important to level off the van for weight distribution. I feel like I'm a good with instruction and good with tools. I built race cars in the past. The instructions were not very informative. needed more layout on what to do. A real good [internet] video would have been great. If it wasn't so late at night I would have made one with my findings. I started at 4:30 pm with dinner break and finished at 12 midnight. that's 6 hours to install. I could do the next one in 4 hours learning all the tricks. The passenger side was the hardest. The exhaust was in the way, so installing the 15/16 jam nut was not easy. I didn't have a 15/16 wrench to make it easier. I used a 15/16 socket with a swivel and short extension (3/8's drive) to tighten it. Took a minute with small throws. Great product. Thank you Tommy

Your air ride system worked great on our van towing a 12 foot enclosed trailer from Minnesota to Florida. Handled our big load 2000 miles with no problems. Would recommend your unit to anyone. Was GREAT!!!!!

I chose these bags to assist in hauling my travel trailer, just wanted the extra help. Easy enough to install, follow directions of course. I would completely assemble the airbag with brackets on the bench first as you have plenty of room to install under vehicle and would cut install time in half. I just installed yesterday and am heading out today for camping so we shall see, I am confident they will help. Bags were shipped way faster than expected which was a surprise but top notch service is common for a great company, look forward to more buisiness in the future.

its been a year now and love these bags. The added stability is worth every penny. I run about 10 P.S.I. to level the load. Will put these in my next vehicles for the towing confidence they bring.

I have 2008 chevy 1500 express Explorer Built Conversion Van. I tried another brand and it didn’t fit. This Brand is a perfect fit!!! The ride is excellent! I could not be more happier. It was a pain drilling the hole in the shock mount, I did have to come up with some spacers for the existing brake cable and hose mounts to get them out of the way but overall pretty straight forward install. The ride is a lot better with the trailer being level now. I like the trailer and van level together no more squat. Real nice. I ran the filler valves out the back. It fills fast with a small compressor. I don’t think a on board compressor is needed but it would be a little better with it. Just not worth the effort to install one to me. These are nice bags. It took me about 8 hours total laying on my back and being particular about everything and I am 60 so not as fast as I used to be lol.

  • Timbrens or Air Bags for a 2008 Chevy Express 1500 Van
The answer to your question depends on the weight of your cargo and your expectation of comfort in your 2008 Chevy Express 1500 van. The Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System item # TGMRG25C has a capacity of 6,000 lbs but will provide a stiff ride. I typically only recommend these systems as a last resort or on work trucks with service beds. I recommend going with an airbag system like the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs item # F2423. This system has a 3,600 lbs capacity and...

  • Firestone Air Helper Springs for a 2005 Chevy Express 1500
Yes, there is a airbag kit available for the 1500 model of your 2005 Chevrolet Express Van. It is the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs - Single Convoluted item # F2423. These air bags will work great to keep your van level and will reduce the stress put on the rear axle when you're towing. They also have the added benefit of not adversely affecting the comfort of your ride when you're not towing. I recommend the Air Lift WirelessAIR Compressor System for Air Helper Springs - Remote...

  • Helper Springs for a 2007 Chevy Express Van 1500 AWD with Glass Pane Rack on Side
The first thing you will want to do is make sure the suspension is in good working order. Helper springs cannot be added if the suspension is worn out or something is broken. Given the options for the rear of your 2007 Chevy Express van I recommend the Timbren springs. Timbren is headquartered up north so they know a thing or two about products that work well in colder climates and they have become a leader in the industry for helper springs. For the rear you can use # TGMRG25C. And for...

  • Firestone Air Helper Springs for 2005 Chevy Express AWD
The correct Firestone suspension enhancement product (jounce spring or air helper spring) will depend on whether your Chevy Express is a 1500, 2500 or 3500 series and on the number of wheel lugs on your axles. If you'd care to reply with this information, I'd be happy to recommend some specific products for you. Generally speaking, the air springs or jounce springs are meant to suspend weight carried in the vehicle itself, not for counteracting tongue weight applied to the rear axle of...

  • Suspension Enhancement Recommendation for 2010 Chevy Explorer Conversion 1500
We have rear suspension enhancement that does fit your 2010 Chevy Express Van 1500 but we do not have any air spring kits like the Firestone you mentioned. Instead you'd want the Timbren kit part # TGMRG25C which does fit and the advantage it has over the air spring kits is that you never have to maintain any air pressure or worry about air leaks.

  • How To Prevent A Rough Ride While Towing 2009 Chevy Express Van 1500
I have the perfect way to help you prevent the bouncing you are experiencing while towing on rough highways with your 2009 Chevy Express Van 1500. For this, I recommend using the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs part # F2423 as this is the only real suspension enhancement option we have that is really going to control the bouncing. In addition to increased stability, installing these airbags will also improve steering control, level headlight aim, and reduce tire wear. As long as...

  • Air Spring Suspension Enhancement Recommendation for a 2007 Chevy 1500 Express Van
A dual path setup like the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs # F2423 that you referenced would be a great solution for you. Since you would be able to inflate either side of the bags to different air pressures you would be able to compensate for your uneven loads due to your glass rack. For a compressor system that would allow you to inflate either bag to your preferred air pressure that features a gauge that will allow you to view both air bag pressures you would want the Firestone...

  • Does Firestone Ride Rite Kit F2423 Fit 2006 Chevy Express 1500 Van
The Firestone Ride Rite kit part # F2423 is a confirmed fit for your 2006 Chevy Express 1500 van. I confirmed this by checking with Firestone. Sometimes their drawn instructions diagrams are hard to visualize since not everything from the vehicle is pictured.
