  • Quieter, More Stable Rides: Aero-style aluminum bars with push-down rubber strips help reduce wind noise and vibration.

Features to know about

Keep a Clean Roofline: Flush, Factory-Look Bars

The Yakima BaseLine FX roof rack keeps things tidy with its flush design. The bars end right where the towers do, so nothing sticks out past the roofline. It gives your setup that factory-finished style instead of looking like an add-on. The integrated crossbar and tower system mounts directly to a naked roof for a smooth, low-profile look that feels solid and purposeful.

Cut Down on Wind Noise: Aero-Style Aluminum Crossbars

Long drives are a lot nicer when the roof rack isn’t humming in the wind. These aero-style aluminum crossbars are shaped to limit drag and vibration while you’re driving. The push-down rubber strips in the top channels fill gaps that would otherwise whistle, keeping noise and movement down. The result is a quieter ride whether you’re heading to the lake or hauling gear down the highway.

Load Up for Any Adventure: Works with Channel-Mount and Clamp-On Accessories

You can bring just about any gear you want with this setup. The crossbars handle both channel-mount accessories and clamp-on attachments, so it’s easy to swap between carriers for bikes, boats, skis, or cargo boxes. The top channels measure 7/8" wide x 7/16" tall with a 7/16" opening, giving you room to mount a wide range of equipment securely for your next trip.

Built Strong for Daily Use: Solid Aluminum Construction

When you’re carrying heavy gear, strength matters. This system has a 165-lb weight capacity (always follow your vehicle’s maximum roof load) and uses aluminum construction to stay rigid under load without adding unnecessary weight. It’s made to hold up through years of travel and everyday hauling while keeping its clean black finish intact.

Add Theft Deterrence When You Want It: SKS Lock Core Ready

If you want extra security for your setup, the rack is ready for Yakima Same Key System (SKS) lock cores — sold separately — so you can lock both the rack and your channel-mount accessories with one key. It’s an easy way to add peace of mind when you park at trailheads, campgrounds, or hotel lots between adventures.

Hyundai Sonata - glass pano roof. These items have been on for about 1-year. So happy with the set up. I’ve take a road bike and a mountain bike on 500+ mile trips. The mounts do an excellent job.

by:

I ordered the Yakima "aero" bars , baseline towers, and BaseClip kits for my 2019 Honda Civic 5 door. While expensive the quality is excellent and it was a pleasure to assemble such a high quality and precision engineered product. It fits perfectly on my new car and the "aero" bars are quiet even at freeway speeds. Highly recommended.

by:

Great service from my knowledgeable salesperson and the product installed easily and performs perfectly.

by:

3 years ago etrailer helped me to fit Yakima racks on my Honda Accord so that I could carry my kayake.
I got a new Honda Accord this year and only had to replace the baseline towers and can still use the other parts.
It was pretty easy to install with good directions.

by:

The racks are easy to remove and reinstall once they are set up. My only complaint is that Yakama only seems to make the base clips in one length. This limits the distance that I can separate the bars to 32 inches. They don't reach under the door sill if I move them further back. If they stamped them out in a few different lengths one would have more options in terms of distance between the bars.

From start to finish, the folks at etrailer -- and I spoke to several people there, so it was a consistent corporate vibe -- were fantastic to deal with.

There were delays in getting my product that were on the supplier side and out of eTrailer's control, yet etrailer folks kept me up to date and also worked on a customized solution.

My goal was to be able to carry my surfboard on the roof of our 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe to the beach more than 3 hours away. But the particular model we had had no existing racks, no recessed areas, nothing to fix racks to. Not even the dealer had a solution. I was sh*t out of luck.

But etrailer hooked me up. The racks did take me a while to put on, but most of that time was fine tuning to reduce “hum” while driving. I’m very happy with them.

Thanks to etrailer, I have gone surfing and can go surfing whenever I'd like to.

Excellent fit and held solid on my '23 Ford Maverick pick-up for the entire canoeing season. When removed this Fall there was no sign they were ever there.

I have a 10th gen Civic sedan and I was dying to get the perfect roof rack set for my car. At the time of my purchase there was not many visuals of what the rack system looked like on this car.

I purchased the:

•Yakima 50in Jetstream crossbars
•Yakima baseline towers
•bc182 & bc183 clips
•Yakima 46in fairing

Overall I love how it looks on my car! During This COVID pandemic I have been camping more, and this is the perfect foundation! First off, the 46in fairing is the perfect fit for the 10th gen civic! Wind noise is low also with the help of the aerodynamic crossbars. My main concern was the fuel efficiency. On long road trips I still average 38-40 mpg with the rack on. My daily commutes I average 34 mpg without Econ on.

by:

Now that was fast, the go to place to find unique, hard to get and out of stock items for your RV, Camping and Trailering needs. Awesome service and work everyone.

by:

It arrived just fine, and timely. Thank you, e trailer has always had great customer service

by:

I'm a repeat customer at etrailer several times now, and with good reason. They have provided what I needed in terms of both product and assistance reliably and promptly. The best online supplier I have found.

by:

The clips are very easy to install and good fit on my 2020 Ram 1500.

by:

Rack is still on the car one year later. Yakima doesn’t have a replacement cover for the tower, which is flimsy.

by:

Awesome system. Was extremely easy to put together and to space out with the given tools and equipment.

The team is amazing, fast, and responsive! 10/10 will be ordering again from here for all my needs.

by:

I was able to use these clips to mount a roof rack and roof box on my Audi that had a naked roof, and they did the job! I took it on a 1,200 mile road trip and after I returned there wasn’t any damage to the paint, and even though there are rubber inserts on the inside of the clip to prevent scratches I was still a bit surprised.

If you don’t have roof rails on your car, these definitely help!

by:

I was converting a roof rack from my Jeep Cherokee (factory rails) to my RAM 2500 truck (naked roof). While I could use my old Jetstream crossbars, I needed new towers and clips for the truck. There was an error in my original order, the representative thought she was sending me two pairs of clips. I understand the mixup because the Clip box said two meaning 2 clips rather than two pair. etrailer sent another pair immediately and waived the shipping. I like customer service is available and knowledgable. I would give them a five if they hadn't mixed up the first order.

by:

I was in dire need of finding a cross bar system to mount a 18cu foot Yakima cargo carrier for an upcoming camping trip and etrailer did me an enormous favor by using there website to find the correct system for my 2018 Toyota Camry. I was very pleased that the website confirmed the fitment and provided the whole kit with not just the towers and cross bars but also the clips to mount to a naked roof. So far the mounting was pretty straightforward as long as you follow the directions thoroughly. I drove 5 hours through a wind storm in SoCal with a box mounted and the system held up perfectly fine with no issues or hiccups. 10/10 recommend.

Had two different vehicles to get ready for two different trips and Joshua diligently tracked dow the correct Yakima accessories and backorder challenges. No other provider came close to this level of service. Excellent work! Both trips made better!

  • Will Crossbars Interfere With The Panoramic Sunroof Of A 2023 Ford F-150
Yes, any roof rack, including the Yakima BaseLine FX Roof Rack for Naked Roofs # Y56UV, would most likely prevent you from being able to open your panoramic sunroof. Even if the crossbars clear the glass there's always the chance that whatever weight you out on top of them could cause them to dip down enough and touch so roof rack manufacturers don't ever approve of opening the sunroof while the crossbars are installed. If you'd still like to use these crossbars then you'll also need...

  • Roof Rack Recommendation for 2021 Toyota Highlander with Naked Roof
Hey Ronnie, I attached a link to this page that shows all of the roof racks that are a fit for your 2021 Toyota Highlander with a naked roof but my favorite option is the Yakima Jetstream part # Y00429, # Y28TR, # Y06153, # Y06132 as we had chance to install all of the racks we carry and we all agreed the Yakima racks are the nicest and the easiest to use.
