Great product! Initial delivery was missing an end cap and key on one of the rails. Another key was bent. Called customer support. They were great! They immediately sent an new set out to me. Installation was simple. They fit an look great.
Put on my RX350 in about 10 min. Fits like a glove. The side rails from Lexus are silver however their cross rails only come in black, so these aluminum cross rails look much better.
I purchased these for a 2009 VW Sportswagen and they were a perfect fit. They were very easy to put on and have a nice low profile look to them.
Seems sturdy, and no wind whistles. Read install instructions CAREFULLY, and look the bars over for the inconspicuous "FRONT" sticker. Favorable initial impression, have not loaded heavy yet. Fairly wide aero bar, not all accessories are compatible (especially older ones).
Installation of these cross-bars was very easy.
-remove the keyed-cover,
-loosen the screw (releasing the lower clamp)
-fit the cross-bars to the vehicle
-tighten the clamp screw
-replace the keyed-cover
I do wish that the front cross-bar was a tad longer. I'm sure that this is a functional setup, but I would prefer to see more overlap of the end-cap and the rail, similar to the fit of the rear cross-bar.
So far very happy with the product. It's fits my rails perfectly. Easy to get the cap off (for access to tightening the clamps). Easy to put on and take off. Tip: if you have a sun roof, put the crossbar back towards the edge of the hole, otherwise there is a loud wind noise.
E trailers customer service has been excellent. Just installed the rails today. Measurements for installing rails are not correct for our 2008 Nissan Rogue. For one, their metric to American conversion is wrong. And second, the placement on the side rails is also incorrect. Other than that, install was very simple. We did take a ride on the highway and definitely noticed some noise. We haven't used the rails for anything yet so I cant comment on usage.
Just received my Rola roof rack for my 2012 Jetta Sports wagon with side rails. My big concern when I both these was the sunroof. The sunroof just nearly touches the bottom of the front rack when it opens before it slides back when installed exactly where the instructions said. I was able to adjust them forward an inch and this resolved that issue. There is no interference on the back even with the bolts protruding down a bit. I do know if I have my surfboard rack cushion the sunroof won't open but I'll just leave it closed when I go to the beach. If anything hangs down with other accessory carriers it also will not open but another inch forward and it will all be clear. Overall initial review very good. They seem very strong so I am sure it will be OK with my surfboards or canoe. The installation was super easy.
Installation on my specific vehicle (Mercedes ML350) was very complicated. The measurements in the directions on where to fit the roof rack to my rails did not work since the length on my rails aren’t as long as the directions indicate they need to be, for mounting. We worked with what we had and got it mounted on and it has worked well for us.

Material and finish are nice.
Easy to assemble.
Comes with all needed hardware and easy instructions.
Does not interfere with the sunroof opening or closing.
One gripe - there is wind noise now at low speeds with the crossbars on ( between 25-40 miles per hour).
Does not seem to have affected mileage/gallon (estimate based on one 300 mile drive with only the bars on).
Pros: Arrived quickly in several days. Fits my 2011 Kia as suggested. Fairly easy to install. It looks great on my Kia, matches my car's silver rails. My Thule Kayak saddles fit with good clearance from the panoramic glass sunroof. Held up fantastic with 2 kayaks. It has 4 identical keys.
Cons: Box it was delivered in was dented & re-taped up (by the delivery company most likely). Racks themselves were not damaged fortunately. Keys are weak metal, 2 were bent (possibly from the delivery), 1 broke (my fault for trying to straighten it) but I have 3 left, all the same key, so that's not a problem, just an FYI that they aren't super strong so be careful.
Just an FYI, the racks do whistle at 40mph. I don’t know if I could handle a long road trip with the whistle, but short trips are fine so far, noticeable but ok.
Unclear what RBXL refers to and also unclear which Ski Rack fits best with this cross bar. Did not find a matching one on the website. Nice looking sleek design and the bright aluminum finish looks kewl on my dark blue SUV but wish there had been a matching ski rack. Ordered the Thule slider -- not here yet - so we will see if they are really compatible. The ROLA cross bar looks better than the Thule cross bar, but the online pix are not extensive enough to really know.
The bars are easy to install, sit pretty low, doesn't make a lot of noise and were a great price.
I've carried 2 road bikes, kayaks, canoe and pretty much anything I found on the side of the road that won't fit in my wagon.
Reason I got this one was because of price and ability to lock it.
I highly recommend it.
