Can a Roof Rack for a 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe Be Left Installed
Published 04/13/2019 >
Question:
Can roof rack stay on vehicle when not in use? The one I had on 2013 CRV was on for five years without problem. It was able to go thru car washes without problem. Also was able to open roof top glass although was not panoramic.

Yes, you can leave a roof rack on your 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe installed for as long as you like. However, I would only use touchless car washes with the rack installed as there is a possibility that a non-touchless car wash could potentially cause damage. In regards to the panoramic roof, so long as it does not extend up above the roof line you should be fine but please keep in mind this can be very noisy.
For your 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe, I recommend the Rhino-Rack RVP Roof Rack for Fixed Mounting Points # RR87QJ.
This system has aero shaped crossbars for reduced wind noise/drag, a universal track system for use with track mounted accessories, and a streamlined design in which the crossbars do not extend out past the mounting feet.
