Today, we're going to take a look at the CIPA universal door mount truck and van mirror. Now, this is a universal mirror that'll replace the side view mirror on most trucks or vans. This mirror does replace the Ford style and other truck and van door mount style mirrors. It is a ball and socket joint, so it lets you adjust the angle of the mirror. Right down here, there's a ball and socket the mirror's attached to so you can angle it up, down, side; wherever you need. It does have a breakaway feature which enables the mirror to fold in or out when struck to prevent breakage.
It does use a flat glass. It is a very simple installation. It mounts using your existing holes, comes with all the hardware, the plastic gaskets, the screws, the anchors, and it is designed to fit the driver's side. If you want it on the passenger side, you can just simply reverse the mirror head.There's a bolt here that you loosen, allowing you to turn the mirror around. Does have a nice black finish on it.
A few specs on this we're going to measure, starting with the mirror. The overall length from edge to edge is right at eight and three quarter inches wide. The overall height, and again, this is just on the mirror itself: five and three quarter inches tall. Then, just the mirror is eight inches by five inches. The top bracket, the mounting bracket right here, the width on that is going to be right at four and three quarter inches.
You can see it has two mounting holes and the space between those mounting holes, center to center, is three and three quarter inches. The bottom bracket overall length on it is going to be right at three and nine sixteenths inches. Bolt holes, again, there's two of them, and center to center on those are going to be right at two and three quarter inches, but that should do it for the review on the CIPA universal door mount truck and van mirror.

They are awesome set when you buy 2, but what they are replacing for me, is a old school single arm mirror on a 1947 Overland Willys pickup, where they set there and vibrates constantly being door mount mirror reduces the shakes
