can this mirror be removed from its mounting bar. is the stud that goes from the mirror to the mount bar threaded

Yes you can remove the mirror from the mounting bar it attaches to. There's actually two holes on the mount that you can use for the mirror to attach to. A bolt is what holds the mirror of the # CM41100 to the swiveling mount bracket.
