I have a solution for you, but the CIPA Universal Door Mount Truck Mirror # CM41100 is not a towing mirror. If the mirrors on your 1987 Toyota 4Runner are between 4-1/2" to 11-1/2" tall you can use the K-Source Universal Towing Mirrors # KS3891-2, which will provide a secure connection to your factory mirrors and give you an extended view of your SUV and trailer.
If you've got mirrors that are a different size, please let me know how tall your mirrors are and I can work to find a suitable alternative.
