When only the lower convex glass is cracked and your mirror head is still usable, replacing the full mirror assembly adds work and parts you're not trying to touch. This Burco Redi Cuts piece replaces just the RV side view mirror glass, restoring the damaged viewing surface without swapping the full OEM mirror assembly. Once the broken glass is addressed, your existing mirror body can keep doing its job while you get a clear reflection back in that lower section.
The lower mirror section matters most when you need a wider look along the side of a large vehicle. This replacement uses a lower convex surface, so the repair brings back the wide-angle view from that lower glass area. After it's installed, you can use that section again for checking nearby traffic, lane position, and close-side clearance.
Mirror glass repairs go sideways fast when the replacement is even slightly off, so the size needs to match before anything gets installed. This drop-fit glass is specified at 6-3/8" tall x 6-3/4" wide x 8-3/4" diagonal, with the longest diagonal measured from the inside upper corner to the outside lower corner. After confirming those measurements against your mirror glass, the replacement can fit into the correct lower mirror space and put that viewing surface back in use.
Replacing mirror glass often means working near old adhesive, cracked pieces, and tight mirror openings, so the edge finish matters during the repair. Now folks, this particular one's gonna fit a lot of Freightliners and some Newmars, so make sure you're measuring and checking the fit guide at etrailer.com to be sure you're getting the right part the very first time. Now, this is gonna be a great and cost effective option for you if you have a cracked or broken mirror glass. This restores visibility without having to pay for the full replacement OEM mirror assembly, so you can save a lot of money by just getting this replacement glass itself. As you can see, it's concave, convex, whichever way I'm turning it, and then it is, it has been designed for non-heated OE mirrors only.
It's considered a drop fit installation. You do get these four, I'm sorry, you get these six included pads here, one was folded over, and those have self-adhesive on the back for installing with ease. Now you do wanna measure the height, the width, and the diagonal to match it up with what your replacing. So if we start with a width, sometimes it's easier with the curve to measure the back. I get about six and three-quarter inches wide.
We measure a height, I'm gonna turn it sideways, but this is the height here. I get about six and three-eighth inches tall. And then you wanna measure on a diagonal the longest tip diagonally, and I get about eight and three-quarter inches diagonally. So again, folks, it's very important to make sure that you're measuring correctly, make sure that you're getting the best possible, closest dimensions to match it up. And then again, also make sure you're checking that fit guide over at etrailer.com.
