Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the Derale 18 Inch Reverse Rotation Fan Clutch Fan. It has an 8,000 RPM rating. Now this is an 18 inch diameter by two inch deep durable steel replacement fan, and it's guaranteed to offer maximum full-time airflow and fit most OEM clutches. The reverse rotation design on this fan means that it'll go counter clockwise.

You can see the sticker that shows you the rotation, so it's designed to go counter clockwise. And this will serve as a replacement for your factory fan. The eight hole hub right here fits most OEM clutches as it offers two different flange bolt spacings. In other words, if you measure across, there's two sets of four holes. So if you measure across the widest ones, it's three and a quarter inches center to center.

If you measure across at the closest ones, it's three inches. Now this is constructed of a durable steel. It has a nice black powder coat finish on it, and it is made in the USA. As we mentioned, the diameter, which is measured here, 18 inches. Total depth is right at two inches deep.

And again, the RPM rating on this is 8,000 RPM. But that should do it for a look at the Derale 18 Inch Reverse Rotation Fan Clutch Fan.

Built really well, as good or better than the OEM fan, and a noticeably higher volume of air flow. little over a year in vehicle and still very happy

Hey James, I did a little digging and it looks like your 1984 Jeep CJ-7 uses a 16 inch diameter fan so the correct replacement would be the part # FLX2216 which is also reverse rotation but the part number you mentioned would be too big at 18 inch diameter.

Hi Justin; I wasn't able to find anything on the stock fan for your 1993 Caprice. You will have to measure the existing fan to see if the # D17918 matches, and confirm if it is reverse rotation.

There are a couple of different fan clutches that fit a 1988 Chevy C/K series 1500 depending on the rear axle gear ration and if it has air conditioning. Will an 18 Inch Radiator Fan Blade Fit On a Hayden Fan Clutch
The Derale 18-inch diameter radiator fan blade # D17918 will fit just fine with your Hayden fan clutch number HDA-2793 because it fits most factory clutches. The fan clutch HDA-2793 is the equivalent to the Derale # D22166 and the replacement fan blade is # D17918. I included a couple informative articles for you too.

Radiator Fan For A 2006 Jeep Commander To Replace A Hayden 2905
According to the online owner manual for a 2006 Jeep Commander, the stock fan is a 18.5" diameter. So you could absolutely use the Derale # D17918 as a replacement. There is a front side of the fan which will face the front of the vehicle. You will find that to be self explanatory when you go to install. It will work with virtually any fan clutch, including your Hayden 2905, which is a standard clutch.

Derale Fan # D17918 Measurements
The bolt hole diameter on the Derale 18" Fan # D17918 is 5/16". This is supposed to replace your factory fan and the manufacturer states it should fit most OEM clutches. Being a Ford, I don't see it not fitting. Ford typically doesn't deviate from the industry standard.
