Hello, everybody, this is Jeff at trailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this Roadmaster Exact Center Steering Stabilizer with the custom mounting brackets for motorhomes. Now, this is a custom fit part. Now, this part here will fit many different years and models of Class A and Super C motorhomes. And because of that, what I would recommend for you to do is go to our website, use the fit guide, put in your year and model vehicle and it'll show if this will work for your application. Now, this is an exact center stabilizer.
This will work better than other steering stabilizers, mainly because it's always working to prevent unwanted movement. Other stabilizers will react to that movement and this exact center works to prevent it. Other steering stabilizers will also slowly activate to control the setting, only after your motorhome has already begun to wander or make a turn. So basically those steering stabilizers are reactive, which means they fight against unwanted movement but only after that movement has already started. Now, that will get your RV back in line, absorb shock while doing so, but they could still allow some play in the steering because of their soft centers which can cause the steering to feel spongy.
This Roadmaster Exact Center Stabilizer is proactive. Basically, it uses a nitrogen-charged tandem gas springs, which are inside of this, that applies full force right when you need it. And this will help prevent unwanted wandering and white-knuckling you typically get when driving your RV. This stabilizer will prevent your motorhome from wandering, improve steering, keeps your RV centered, taking the fight out of steering. And it'll also help maintain control of your RV during crosswinds, rut tracking and even road edging.
It is a bolt-on installation. There's no drilling or welding required. Basically, you'll use the factory axle bracket holes on one end and the tie rod location on the other end. It does include the custom mounting brackets, the mounting hardware to install it. The stabilizer itself is a heavy duty stainless steel construction.
It is made in the USA. Now, this kit is designed to work with motorhomes that have a gross vehicle weight rating of 22,000 pounds and above. And one last note I do wanna mention is this is designed to work with a suspension system that is in good working order. Still the very best steering stabilizer I have ever purchased. As annotated in my original review the exact center steering stabilizer has completely eliminated my steering issues on my 2015 Coachmen Encounter 37LS.

I am still very glad I bought this product. It settled down the constant diving into the corners in the mountain roads and has made driving the Class C much safer in my opinion

Still havent used it. I just got the motorhome back with a new steering box. It took over a year to find someone that would check out the steering box. The steering box and kingpins were not set up properly at the factory and had to be replaced at 13,800 miles. Im learning what Fix Or Repair Daily means.

Once I got it tuned in, it has performed exactly as advertised! It has kept me from constant steering correction and no white knuckle driving! I have had other steering stabilizers in the past, this one beats them all!
