Features to know about

Steady Steering on the Highway: Nitrogen-Charged Tandem Gas Spring

Long drives can wear you out when you’re constantly correcting the wheel. The Exact Center’s nitrogen-charged tandem gas spring keeps the steering centered and firm so your rig doesn’t wander or drift. Instead of waiting until you’ve already started to swerve, it applies force right when you need it, giving you confident, straight-line control through crosswinds, ruts, and uneven pavement.

Less Stress Behind the Wheel: Proactive Control That Prevents Wander

Where other steering stabilizers react after movement begins, this one is always working to prevent it. The proactive design keeps your steering tight and responsive, taking the fight out of holding the wheel steady. The result is a smoother, more predictable drive that feels calm and controlled mile after mile.

Strong Build for Heavy Rigs: Rated for 22,000 lbs GVWR and Above

Built for the weight and demands of large vehicles, this stabilizer is made from heavy-duty stainless steel for long-term durability. It’s rated for 22,000 lbs GVWR and above, providing the strength needed for serious road time without flex or fade.

Simple Bolt-On Setup: Custom Brackets and No Drilling Needed

Installation doesn’t require welding or drilling. The stabilizer mounts using factory axle bracket holes on one end and the tie-rod location on the other. Custom brackets and all necessary mounting hardware are included for a straightforward bolt-on setup that gets you driving sooner.

Video Transcript for Review of Roadmaster Anti-Sway Bars - Steering Stabilizer - RM25RR

Hello, everybody, this is Jeff at trailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this Roadmaster Exact Center Steering Stabilizer with the custom mounting brackets for motorhomes. Now, this is a custom fit part. Now, this part here will fit many different years and models of Class A and Super C motorhomes. And because of that, what I would recommend for you to do is go to our website, use the fit guide, put in your year and model vehicle and it'll show if this will work for your application. Now, this is an exact center stabilizer.

This will work better than other steering stabilizers, mainly because it's always working to prevent unwanted movement. Other stabilizers will react to that movement and this exact center works to prevent it. Other steering stabilizers will also slowly activate to control the setting, only after your motorhome has already begun to wander or make a turn. So basically those steering stabilizers are reactive, which means they fight against unwanted movement but only after that movement has already started. Now, that will get your RV back in line, absorb shock while doing so, but they could still allow some play in the steering because of their soft centers which can cause the steering to feel spongy.

This Roadmaster Exact Center Stabilizer is proactive. Basically, it uses a nitrogen-charged tandem gas springs, which are inside of this, that applies full force right when you need it. And this will help prevent unwanted wandering and white-knuckling you typically get when driving your RV. This stabilizer will prevent your motorhome from wandering, improve steering, keeps your RV centered, taking the fight out of steering. And it'll also help maintain control of your RV during crosswinds, rut tracking and even road edging.

It is a bolt-on installation. There's no drilling or welding required. Basically, you'll use the factory axle bracket holes on one end and the tie rod location on the other end. It does include the custom mounting brackets, the mounting hardware to install it. The stabilizer itself is a heavy duty stainless steel construction.

It is made in the USA. Now, this kit is designed to work with motorhomes that have a gross vehicle weight rating of 22,000 pounds and above. And one last note I do wanna mention is this is designed to work with a suspension system that is in good working order. But that should do it for the review on this Roadmaster Exact Center Steering Stabilizer with the custom mounting brackets for motorhomes..

This is one of the greatest additions to a Motorhome. I had purchased a new motorhome the day before a trip so I hadn't had time to install the stabilizer. After a 1000 mile trip fighting the wheel I had a chance to install it before the return trip. It was easy to install with the tool I had brought while at the campground and made the trip back much easier.

Easy install and it makes an amazing difference. etrailer has great video tutorial on this. I installed on a Newmar Baystar that was difficult to drive, and made a night and day difference. Took maybe 4 hours including test drives. Be sure to drive before and find the center point on the steering wheel. I hit it the first time so no adjustment needed afterwards. But if needed, the fine adjustments are easy on this compared to the SafeTPlus in was considering.

Do not like how it handles with the center steer

Speaking for myself, and in all honesty from my opinion and with experience using Exact Center Steering Stabilizer. Driving with the ECSS, I’ve found it will be useful on my Jeep being towed. I have several thousand miles on my Jeep, and found city driving okay, but steering you must keep your hands on the wheel. This also goes even more so on the highway. Just returned from a long trip out west to Yellowstone NP, towing a very small camper, and it was very difficult at times when driving only 65-70 mph, with special focus when on the highway when the highway makes direction turns, and really white knuckle both hands on wheel when the road isn’t smooth. As it turns out, on July 2, 2025, I removed the ECSS, and replaced with a normal steering stabilizer, and realize it’s much better, both city and highway driving. I also realize I shot over $400 on something I believed would work better, and I was wrong. The ECSS, may be good when your vehicle is towed, maybe even better on a smooth race track, but on my Jeep, it’s actually unsafe in my opinion and from my experience. I’m thinking more testing is needed, along with additional engineering with adjustments before I would spend that kind of money and knowing it will work first before wasting my money again. Long story short, I had focus on my driving the entire 4000 miles practically with white knuckles way too much, and because of this I missed most of the scenery with is the first time almost thats ever happened. Only bad weather did that before, and a damaged tie rod. I would not recommend the product to anyone, with the exceptions mentioned above. It’s not worth the amount I had to pay, and a mistake buying it. Hopefully you’re honest enough to accept my honesty and truth as I have experienced.
Regards,
Steve

This it the second Roadmaster stabilizer I have purchased from Etrailer. Other was for our older 2011 motorhome and after having it I did not want to drive without 1. This is different than prior unit- big factor is so much lighter and easy to adjust, so far working perfectly…

by:

I stopped short of 5 stars because the instructions could be a lot clearer.

by:

Easy to install if you have the right tools, 3/4" torque wrench etc. Seems to be doing the job on smooth roads, our roads are terribly rutted and lots of frost heaves. Did not have to adjust after install.

by:

I installed the exact center myself. It took me about an hour due to a couple rusty bolts. Test Robin on some side roads and the main road today and I love it. Keeps me on the lane. I don’t have to play the wheel back-and-forth constantly. It doesn’t pop back to center as quuck as I thought it would, but maybe I just gotta get used to it. Definitely an improvement for a long trip.

by:

The motorhome drives so much easier now. I would recommend this if your on the fence.

by:

This has improved the steering significantly for our 2021 Jayco Redhawk 25R! It's almost incredible how much better it is. Can now hold the steering with one hand and does not pull in one direction. Huge improvement!

by:

Supper easy install takes about 1 1/2 hours and most definitely made a difference in the steering input and holding the road is definitely improved.

by:

I will have to wait until next year to install the stabilizer. I had to have the kingpins replaced in the Ford front end at 13,500 miles because parts were left out at the factory. We were not able to use the motorhome much this year.

by:

Made a world of difference. Installed on a Class C RV and was a marked improvement over the anemic OEM “steering stabilizer.” Very little adjustment required.

by:

Super easy install on a 2019 Leprechaun 319MB ,Class C RV. Hardest part was taking off the old hardware. Followed the instructions and test drove at 60mph and it drove totally straight and did not have to make any micro adjustments. A very well made product.

by:

Best investment I have made on this Motorhome. So much easier to drive and keep in it's lane.

by:

I had the road master exact center steering stabilizer installed on my RV and tried it out and it was perfect driving and maintaining position on the road way with out drifting. Although my tow vehicle was not connected I thought it felt good without out it a believe it will be fine.

by:

We installed the Roadmaster steering stabilizer on our 2018 Thor Chateau 24F motorhome. The drifting issue we'd experienced was significantly improved making driving easier and less stressful.

Great product! My installer Martins Auto Tech did a fantastic job!!! Jeff Martin the owner took the extra time to make sure everything was aligned correctly and took the time to explain why he liked the product we chose from etrailer! If i ever needed or will need any work done to my RV. I would use etrailer and Jeff Martins Auto Tech in Hollywood Maryland! Btw your source page led us to Martins Auto Tech with great reviews! Thank you again!

This one of the best if not the best exact center steering stabilizer on the market. Steering my 38 foot class A gas motorhome is simply a breeze. I use to fight my steering wheel to keep my motorhome straight on every type of road. I use to brace and prepare to input multiple steering corrections whenever a Semi truck was about to pass me. With my exact center steering stabilizer installed plus the addition of air bags (front and rear) driving my motorhome is now as easy as driving my F-150 super duty. The exact center steering stabilizer alone improved all of the white knuckle constant steering adjustments i was experiencing. The air bags prevent the side to side movements from cross winds and when a Semi truck passes my motorhome. The vast improvement is the same with or without the toad. This was by far the most cost effective, easily installed, and immediate improvement I have made to my 2015 Coachmen Encounter 37LS Motorhome.

First road trip with our new Integra Odyssey from New York to Key West. It was a nightmare driving this thing down south! Ordered this Roadmaster and had it shipped to my friend's house in Florida. We installed it in about an hour and it is a night and day difference. Sway is almost completely gone and you can let go of the wheel and it stays centered. No more white knuckle driving!

by:

Item arrived quickly the video on the site actually helped with the installation and it was very simple, installation is on a 2023 Nexus Wraith 34w on the international MV 670 chassis

by:

The Exact Center Stabilizer itself is very good. The bracket that was sent only worked on one side of vehicle. Instruction say it is universal for either side mounting. That is incorrect for the kit I received. The stabilizer itself would have fit better on my 2022 F53 if it were about 2 inches longer.

by:

so far great service. i will not be installing until mid April

I have a Super Class C built on a true Freightliner M2 commercial chassis (not the Freightliner motor home chassis). The mount bracket did not fit my chassis The u bolts are larger in diameter and wider than the provided bracket would mount to. I called Roadmaster directly and they were aware of this issue. They are shipping me a custom bracket for my chassis. I was quite impressed with their immediate action. As to etrailer, I have ordered from them many times. They are quick to ship and very responsive at any time. I will see if the new bracket works however I am impressed with the overall experience so far.

  • Solution for Steering Stabilization on 2016 Dynamax Force Super C Motorhome
Your 2016 Dynamax Force Super C is built on the 2015 Freightliner M2 106 Chassis. Since there are no upgraded sway bars that fit the Super C the best solution to help with your steering is the Roadmaster Exact Center Steering Stabilizer # RM25RR. This is designed for Class A's and Super C's with a GVWR over 22,000 lbs like yours. The stabilizer will prevent your motorhome from wondering by keeping it centered. It uses a nitrogen-charged tandem gas spring to prevent unwanted movement rather...

  • Availability Of Anti Sway Bar For 2012 Jayco Seneca Class C On Freightliner M2 Chassis
Hello Gary, thanks for reaching out. I double checked with Roadmaster, and unfortunately they do not make a front or rear sway bar for the 2012 Freightliner M2 Class C. They do make a steering stabilizer though, and this is a great add-on that will help improve ride quality and eliminate sway. Since no sway bars are available, this will definitely be the best option for an upgrade. Now, to make sure you get the right steering stabilizer, you will need to measure the front axle U-bolts....
