The vacuum breaker lets you attach a handheld shower set (sold separately) to make cleaning mud and sand off the kids, pets, and shower walls even easier. The vacuum breaker also has an anti-siphon device - a small air hole that drains water back out of the hose to prevent your dirty shower water from contaminating your clean water supply.
To install, use the inlet shanks to drop the new valve and deck plate in place of your existing valve. Then hand-tighten the included mounting nuts against the back of the wall, and connect the hot and cold water lines. You'll need to keep some tub and tile caulk (not included) on hand to help prevent any leaking.

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at the Empire Faucets RV Shower Valve with the vacuum breaker, the dual knob handles, and the biscuit finish. Now, this is a wall mount RV shower valve that lets you upgrade the bathroom shower valve in your RV or your camper. You can see this one has the top mount vacuum breaker, and that allows you to attach a handheld shower set to this faucet. The shower sets we do sell separately on our website. What's nice with this vacuum breaker, it does prevent the backflow contamination of your clean water supply.
It is a dual handle design, you can see it has the smoke crystal knob style handles on it, and it is a quarter turn cartridge stem that enables the faucet to turn on and off, which is a quarter of a turn. It does use a washerless cartridge design, which reduces friction and daily wear for long lasting durability. This is a non-metallic ABS plastic construction, and we mentioned it is a biscuit color, which is sort of like almost a beige type color. It is a wall mount two hole installation. The inlet shanks right here have the standard male NPSM connections.
Does come with the deck plate and the two mounting nuts. Basically, your deck plate will go on there when you go to install it, and then your mounting nuts would be used to hold this to the wall. That does require tile and tub clock when you do install this. Now, that is not included, you would have to supply that. The specs on this, if we measure the overall width one end to the other, right at six inches.
The height, from the very bottom to the top of the vacuum breaker, it's right at three inches tall. Now at the depth, we're gonna measure from the front of the knob to where it will be up against the wall, so it won't include the inlets. So it's right at 2 7/8 inches deep. Now, the distance between these inlet shanks are the standard four inches, center on center, and the inlet shank inner diameter is a half an inch. Again, you can see it has a quarter of a turn knob, and the knobs are a nice smoke crystal color.

Replacing my existing leaking shower faucet, so I looked for one that was higher quality, this was it.
Worked and performed as expected - customer service was horrible… item was in stock - placed order on a Saturday and no one package and shipped order till the following Friday. When I emailed etrailer - it was as if it was the customers problem…Do not waste your time ordering anything from this company… it took 10 days to get something I should of had in 4days max.
